No way get rid of Sven. I believe this is a mid to poor start to the season and we will be in the play off places come April but we will not get automatic promotion from where i am sitting. I just wish Sven would stop the 4 5 1 formation and play 4 4 2 .

Mclean took Matty's place as it was against his old team, it worked as it often does and Mclean scored the winner yesterday.

I'd hope that Matty and Waggy will start on Saturday, they're definitely the better pairing, as we saw when Matty came on yesterday.

Not having a go & I respect your view, but I´m shocked that LC fans are having a go at SGE so soon into the season. But having said that football is a results game & ours ain´t looking to good at the mo.

I really do believe we have a promotion winning squad BUT these players need to be managed & played right & if not then the poo will roll down hill & stop at SGE, FACT.

Still very early for me to be to pessimistic BUT I thought we would be doing better, still long way to go & no point booing the lads, I hope we get it together very soon. B&HA is the typical game that we will win....:emoticon-0120-doh: did I just say that.

He's a good player to bring on as an impact sub, so I'm sure he'll get plenty of opportunities(particularly as Adestrolla seems to have been binned already) and at this moment in time we've only got Waggy for three months(though I'll be surprised if he doesn't join us on a permanent in Jan).

Unless your new manager wants him back. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't recall folk knocking any of Sven's signings and yet now they can't play and he should go. The teams at the top have generally had time to gel and come into the season with confidence. We on the other hand have virtually a brand new team of footballers and not mind readers so naturally it will take a little time. As others have said, there is a long way to go and i for one am confident we will be in the frame for top two.

End of the day, team will up their workrate for a match against big spending Leicester, true, our form is doing us no favours, but come the middle of the season, other clubs will be flagging, whereas we will be getting stronger.

I expect a run of form like last year tbh, that carries on till the end of the season this time, rather than Feb <ok>

Weve already had a better start to this season than last...and with a completely new team needing time to gel. No panic at all from me!

Pearson was hardly the tactical genius when he was with us was he?

He was the kind of manager who, when chasing a lead, would bring on a defender or when defending a lead, would bring on a striker.

If you mean impact sub by a sub who would ruin evertything then yes. Pearson loves them.

Getting rid of Sven is certainly not the answer to our problems. Our record of replacing managers at the start of a season (Taylor, Adams, Allen, Sousa) is not great; although they maybe shouldn't have been hired in the first place (with the exception of Micky), replacing them at the beginning of a season didn't exactly lead to success, did it? The players need time to gel, and the manager needs time to get his act together. We can't keep chopping and changing for the rest of our existance. Sven needs until at least Christmas - if we're still mid-table and badly under-performing then, then maybe a change for the last half of the season would be beneficial. Otherwise I thik we just need to give Sven the rest of this season, hope everything slots in to place and que sera, sera.....

Well said John! 12 new players, 6 games in and people want change?! sometimes i wonder if some fans know anything about football!!! 5 points from 9 away from home is a good return IMO, yes we have to improve our home form and have a very tricky game against Brighton this saturday which i believe we will get a home win from. The season is won in May not september, patience is the key.

Looking from an optimistic Point of view ...

This time last year, we had 5 points total, so we are already 3 points ahead of last year, and we were still on 5 points after 9 games last year, as we got nothing from the next 3 games (I hope that last bit is not an omen :s ).

Been quiet on here all weekend as there was nothing but negativity all over the place, this post is a moment of clarity.

We have more points on the board than last season and we all know that Sven has brought in good players, eventually it will fall in to place, just a matter of time.

Beckford looked lively and I think SGE is nearly there in terms of his best 11 and formation. Someone is going to get a real good hiding from us soon, let's hope it's Brighton on Saturday

But we don't want last season to happen again. Last season we were 17 points off auto's so we should really be comparing ourselves to someone like Norwich last year. However, that comparison shouldn't really start until mid-October time.
