The worst you can say today is that you just didn’t show up. There’s no excuse for that. Everton were more aggressive, wanted it more. City, Pool, and although we don’t have that depth of talent, Spurs, virtually always show up, put in the hard yards. Nobody lasts very long in any of those teams if they don’t put in a full shift.
I'm gutted about us losing today, but the bigger picture for us is that Emery has got this squad that Wenger assembled into shape and fighting for games. Yes we still manage to find ways to **** ourselves over, but we're definitely moving in the right direction. If the board back him in 2-3 transfer windows, then I'm confident Emery will have a squad that can challenge. I honestly don't know what to make of the situation at Utd. Things looked good for a while when Ole came in, but has he got the mettle to turn it around when the **** hits the fan ? On the evidence so far, no he hasn't. That said, you know Utd will spend a truck load in the summer.
Cech, Lichsteiner, Jenkinson and hopefully Musafi, Elneny, send Suarez back, Ramsey is gone, and possibly offer Welbeck a year if he's fit. In, we need another CB, a creative Mid and a winger.
I think we will still finish top 4, somehow. Emery got the team selection totally wrong today, resting players for Wolves. By the time they recovered it was too late. We know we can win away from home. We just need to do the best we can in these final few games. Chelsea will almost certainly win tomorrow and Sp*rs will beat Brighton, meaning we will probably kick off on Wednesday in 5th, 4 points off Sp*rs and 3 behind Chelsea. We need to win. End of.
Spot on. The players not giving effort is inexcusable. Ole is making it perfectly clear that he has a squad that is littered with bad eggs. I hoped that the problem wouldn’t be this big, but it is.
Ok let's get it out of the way... C'mon Utd! Right I'm off for for a shower with bleach, back in a bit.
He hasn’t got it in him to turn this squad around long-term, yeah he had a good burst when he arrived due to the players getting rid of the Jose shackles, but no manager in the world would be able to fix this problem because it’s a virus that is caused by the owners and the CEO. We could sell a **** load of players and buy a load to replace them but if Woodward is still pulling the strings and causing the players to have such a huge disparity in salaries and reward then nothing will improve.
If Phelan ends up DoF at United I’d like to see Roy Keane come in as Ole’s assistant manager. See if Pogba and co fancy body popping and making ****s of themselves with him to answer to.
Clumsy and stupid from Morrison. Although Salah made the most of his theatric fall. Morrison asked for what he got!
I actually have a bit of sympathy. Refs are weak and won’t give a foul inside the box unless he throws himself over. Outside the box he’d get a free kick. Easy to blame Salah but if the referees gave clear fouls without players going down they wouldn’t have to.
Goodison was rocking today, those sirens are ****ing boss lol. Predictably all of the most match chatter appears to be about United being ****e, same as it has been all about the opposition being ****e, after our previous 3 homes, against the RS, Chelsea & Arsenal........ We scored 4 cracking goals today and until we got the cigars out in the last 20, completely bossed the game. I can’t remember United ever visiting and them taking 86 minutes to register an effort on target. Fair play to the visiting United fans who’d been piped right down after our first goal & were virtually silent until we’d hit 4, then they decided to style it out & sang to the end haha.
You able to catch any of the other results from today mate? My internet isn't working so if you could let me know that'd be great.
