spurs were quite unlucky. They tried to hit city on the break and had maybe 5 clear chances but their finishing let them down. Didn't see 2 of the son chances as my stream went ****ty but son had at least 1 clear 1 on 1 and moura had the same. Reckon spurs actually had the much better chances even though they lacked possession
The problem with that is refs book the player who boots the ball for some reason not understood by me . Point 2 agreed though actually doubt Salah would have "simulated" as like Eriksen he would have fancied himself to score and most only do it when they think the odds are against them.
That’s no consolation when we have the best team we’ve had and the best chance of the title with the best points haul we’ve ever had. A champions league place would be a huge disappointment. It will go down to the last day. We simply have to win it this season when everything seem to go our way. There is no way we will have the same circumstances and opportunities. If we miss it it will be a while before we are close again and win it. Today we came very close as spurs had many opportunities to at least draw but city to their credit ground out a result. The Manchester derby will be decisive. If they win then it’s likely to be game over.
I actually think City will beat united but fall over against burnley. I see burnley as their tricky tie
Burnley might be trickier than United but I can’t see them dropping points in these matches. Unless there is a massive change in form in the red side it will an easy win for them. I think most likely we will need to rely on last day nerves to give us a chance.
burnely are **** and on the beach. Leicester are **** and on the beach Brighton are absolutely woeful. city can now win all games if they get by Utd.
No corrupt VAR in the PL to punish City. FFP can’t punish them in Europe, but the FAPool can get them with no bias VAR available.
That's such incomprehensiblebabble that even a fluent mitoese speaker would have trouble deciphering it
funnily when Utd beat Everton he will stay cos it's the result needed for Utd to throw the game midweek.
You don't know that. If we're truly building something, as opposed to punching above our weight, then things can improve further.
You do have to wonder about the mental state of people who are so desperate to provoke a reaction they will come out with almost anything.
**** happens. if we do get 97 points is an all time club record. (if we get 91 it's also a club record) if someone else gets better fair enough. we wobbled 2 months ago. if city win 20 odd in a row fair enough.
I agree. I'm responding to the idea that it's now or never for us. It's certainly the best chance we've had for a long, long time - but it doesn't mean we won't have chances as good or better in the near future. If we strengthen our squad, there's no reason that we can't give it another go next season.
Yes, if. the inevitable when you pay 200k per well max and others pay 400k... well.. all we can say is anyone wanting a player from us will pay 150mil due to contracts. we may well improve if we can get right players, the back 5 look good. reserves not so much but whos does. the front 3 need cover and competition. so really for me we just need 1 or 2 more to deliver again. it'll be an interesting summer. but this season is miles from over.
Today was no suprise, spurs where always struggling to get a result at city, and after the champions League it looked even less likely. They got a great result, but blew themselves out doing it. One of us or city will blink over the next four games, who it will be is a complete guess, city are more than capable of having a shocker, but we've all seen liberpool pull defeat from certain victory and vice versa
maybe neither will.. who knows. but it'll be a good race for everyone to watch unlike a dull procession last year. for me that city back line looks time and again to be porous but sides rarely front up to them and hurt it. their midfield in particular is where they scare the pants off sides.
you sure about that 1977 Champions FA Cup runner - up European Cup winners and the FA cup loss to the Mancs was down to the flukiest in-off i've ever seen apart from when playing snooker. I would also stick the 1988 team in there as well. Football did exist ,despite efforts to suggest the opposite, prior to the PL.
yep the trick is when you get the chance to attack really commit to it and push men forwards quickly and if/when fouled to stop the break make sure the ref books Fernandino the offender
