I love it when deluded is used, I fear that because of not winning youth FA cup or U23 you feel it’s a worthless competition. Let’s see how those youth cup and league winners get on in the big time compared to those who spend a season or two out on loan away from parent clubs.
Well at Everton it is players to fit a system. More focus on technical aspects than getting 11 big lads on the pitch. But we can dismiss the U23 wins, they are not worth noting really. Plus big lads like Foden and Co just bullied their way to WC age group wins.
I'm not knocking Everton ffs it was a bit of a wider point so no need to get so defensive, has this not gone as you hoped? My point is I largely don't care about the academy results and there doesn't seem to be a correlation between 'success' at academy level and breaking through into the first team.
Well the ones that remained that actually have a Wiki page were previously on loan at clubs like Barnsley, Falkirk and Telstar if that helps.... Sorry mate but it's pretty obvious that Chelsea are more concerned with player's development at senior level than at youth level, it's not really an argument.
Errrm. Maybe the lack of success at U23 level doesn’t transplanted to progress to the first team at some clubs. It does at Everton
Yah, farming out RLC and then buying Ross Barkley seems to point towards that thinking. A string of youth players, not in the first team and instead expensive imports. Been a long time since Terry came through
He's a West Ham fan mate. But to answer your question only one academy graduate has gone there, well directly from us anyway, they've got two in the squad. You've got one as well.
Not for much longer Anyways, still switching from the real point of the article. Young players, winning trophies and league titles is better than loan football at Oldham etc.
