That would be terrible. So many games in the second half of the season could/would be pointless

It think it's a brilliant rule and last night was a good example of why, in the mental second legs that happen it means that somebody is always winning/losing so you don't end up in a situation where both teams are settling for extra time.

European football wouldn't be the same without it for me.

That's been nicked from a Youtuber that I follow. He's been doing that badly played descant recorder blowing for a few years to denote that events have gone south. It is very funny though. <laugh>

Not to mention the fact that, at least in recent years anyway, it's often made the home side in the first leg be quite satisfied with a 0-0 draw. They're too afraid of conceding an all important away goal, to go for the jugular.

You're the home side. You should be on the front foot, looking to give yourself a lead going into the second leg. Not sitting back, afraid of conceding; backing yourself to nick one at their place instead.

OK, here’s a thought. Why not have home goals counting double?

I'm sure Liverpool went for it against Bayern but they just presented a suffocating defence, which came back to bite Bayern badly.

I'm pro away goals too, because it's better than more games going to penalties.

10-man Wigan come from behind to beat Leeds 2-1 at Elland Road, preventing Leeds from regaining the second automatic promotion spot.

@fatletiss your wife will be happy then!

Father in law is here too... he was going mental while I was busting my arse in the garden, getting ready for the big 18th bash on Sunday.

Ps. Don’t mention the Rugby league though :( big derby today.

Things could decidedly worse for FLT. Pompey getting promotion and Spurs into the CL final.

Another good thing about the EFL, two games over easter.

Easter always reminds me of the 2-0 win at Palace in 2012.

And in 7 years time you’ll be saying it reminds you of a 3-1 win at the Toon.
