I just found this great video about the Stuart Roy Clarke photo of the fans at Roker park. It was made by a German magazine - so I forgive them for the title!

Does anyone recognise or know anyone involved?

Cracking that. Brought back a lot of memories. And it’s true , like the guy said , the football was often bad , but just to be at Roker Park — there aren’t really words.

    Excellent!!
    Thanks for the post.
Sitting here covered in Goose Bumps, I love the SoL but Roker Park will always be imprinted in my mind and in my heart.
I Can remember when I was a nipper (too young to go to the match) sitting at my Grandparents house in the East End or being dragged out shopping in the Town and Hearing a Loud ROAR from 'ower the water' and knowing we had just scored!!!
Great Memories, but its a shame that the young supporters cant experience that kind of atmosphere for themselves as it had a truly massive effect on me as a young fan. It made me want to be a part of the Red n White Army and the memory of those times still does!!!

None of the above. I'd like to go back to Paulo Di Canio's dirty knees match against the Mags.

Not sure there's a Sunderland fan who attended games at Roker who couldn't agree with that statement. Roker ender from 81-85 then Fulwell ender from 85 until it closed! Loved that ground and was gutted when it went
