What a difference a year makes at Bath racecourse with this meeting being on heavy ground last year and faster ground than good this year.

Will that put pay to The Daley Express’ chance of repeating his win in the lucky last? I don’t think the ground will help and I think Acclaim The Nation should be perfectly suited to this race. Lightly raced, good on the going and should get a relatively easy thing at the head of the field.

    4:55 Oriental Lilly @8s

This is a perfect set up too, plenty of early pace in the race and she is drawn mid pack so should be able to be produced in the final furlong with a run. Could be a plot horse for sure.

Think pactolus could give wissahicken something to think about better draw if he can break better.

Looking back at the Craven meeting so far. I haven't noticed anything to get too excited about. The 2yo Chasing Dreams might be useful though. Ran a very respectable time, despite running green, to win by 5l, and having to make her own running. Chasing Dreams well described those opposing her

Well well what does every make of the Kayley Woolacott Story - she is getting some real pelters. Personally i can’t see why yes what she did was completely I get that but affairs happen the whole time and long story short Richard suffered from depression and there are always 2 sides to story!

At the time of his death a number of people knew of the back story and that it was only a matter of time before the truth came out. The inquest has heard a watered down account of the facts and yet still it makes for very sad reading. I have no sympathy for her, in fact the person I feel most sorry for in this is their young daughter who will grow up without her natural father and at some point understand that her mother was instrumental in his demise,

Suicide is very selfish and I find it pathetic that he's left a young child without a father. So his wife ****ed about, it's not nice but it happens. The headlines reading that he killed himself after discovering the affair are irresponsible and careless. It undermines the mental health issues that he was suffering from and it's also not nice that it's now out there for his daughter to see

Think the french raiders need respect today at lingers. They had three winners on this card last year.

Not really in to the all weather racing but for sure the championship finals day at Lingfield raises interest somewhat. Having 3 bets today:

Lingfield 2.30pm - Georgeous Noora 7/1 each way
Lingfield 4.45pm - Silver Quartz 28/1 each way

Also the not so very original double bet (1.22/1) :

    Lingfield 3.05pm - Kachy
    Lingfield 4.15pm - Wissahickon

    Good luck all....

You little ****e bag. It will be 4 years tomorrow that I loaded up and blasted myself in the head. I'm incredibly lucky to have survived it. I'm a father to two girls and the reason I shot myself was because I'd genuinely believed that my daughters would be better off without me. It wasn't so much I wanted to die but more that I thought the world would be a better place without me. Clearly, I wasn't thinking straight but the mind can play very strange tricks and unless you have been there, I'd keep those ignorant comments to yourself.

Had seconditis at the Craven meeting – my bet of the week short-headed by a 66/1 shot. Even blew the Placepot on Thursday stopping hat-trick seeking Atzeni in the sixth on one of Varian’s after he had won the feature on one!

Cannot believe I am betting on Good Friday – used to be one of two guaranteed days off that were not a Sunday years ago...

Bath 4:05 – GOLD FILIGREE (surprised last time winning her warm-up race first-time-out)

Information received – usual wealth warning:

Lingfield 2:30 – CASTLE HILL CASSIE
