Loved BWP goal celebration infront of the Exeter fans and his cheerio wave to them as he got taken off.
He had obviously been given dogs abuse being an ex plymouth player so gave it too them with both barrels.
I think its fully justified players giving it back when they get stick.
Clinton morrison did the same to us ,cant stand him due to my prejudice against him and his love of palace and connections..BUT after slaughtering him as soon as he came on, I couldnt slate his goal celebrations and bateing of us.

Agreed. I don't buy into the view that just because footballers get paid a lot of money that they should take any abuse that's handed out to them. Of course I don't condone what Cantona did (but understand it) but what Morrison did to us and what BWP did to the Exeter fans was fair enough. Wasn't inciteful in any way and no fan should be up in arms when they've been taunting or abusing a player and they get a bit back.

I hate it when players get reported to the police by fans for gesturing or whatever when they have been verbally abused in the first place ..pathetic.
And BWP wave was priceless !

I completely agree Mike. For me there's not enough banter between the players and us fans these days...

Yeah mate... The first fella to get dragged out was on the end of a bit of rough stuff from the steward. He had him round the neck whilst he was being carried. Reckon the steward could get in some deep s**t for that.

The lad getting carried away 'like a roll of carpet' was priceless! Great work by the stewards <laugh>

As for banter between players and fans, anyone at the Dagenham home game last season would have to agree, Tony Roberts (daggers keeper) is a master at it <laugh>
