It ruins the game as a spectator. You score a goal, but you can't celebrate until they've taken a couple of minutes reviewing it. Football is about immediacy. I'd rather do without it and suffer the odd wrong decision.

Amazing game, cruel finish. VAR is taking the soul of the game...

One of the most amazing games I've ever seen.

Feel a bit sorry for Sterling thinking he'd scored the winner.

Don't feel sorry for arrogant Pep though.

    Well done Poch.

    I'm split on it.

It sucked the life out of the moment when Sterling thought he'd scored the winner, but there again the correct decision was reached.
Spurs would have felt cheated if the goal had stood.

Erikson is a lucky guy after that awful decision to play the ball backwards.

    Well done Spurs.

You mean like Norwich's goal against us in 76 which cost us the League title which was miles offside? Immediacy is all well and good but the game did not suffer tonight and two correct decisions were made. The more referees and the authorities get used to it the quicker VAR decisions will become.

People have complained for years and years about officials getting big calls wrong and asking for them to be given help.
Now they are getting help and got both decisions right tonight.

I can see both sides of the argument but the 'glory' of the game is the spontaneity of that moment, the offside was not a glaring one and without VAR could have justifiably been a close call and not given.

To put it in context say our OBZ moment at Wembley was reviewed and Hoilett had just overrun the touchline as he crossed, we all had gone mental and then it was ruled out by VAR. I can just imagine what the City fans would feel like tonight

It wasn't VAR which did that - it was more the fact that Citeh and their fans realised that they'd run out of time. But then so what? They can afford to buy the very best. To play in their reserve team. They can afford to buy every talented English youth and never give him a place in the first team just to prevent someone else having him. They can't also expect to be so lucky that they benefit twice from what would have been incorrect decisions.

    Completely disagree about the offside.
Nothing close about it and was clearly the right decision.

On balance, I prefer the right decisions being made.

I wanted City to win that and get all four trophies

Hope Liverpool win it now against Ajax

Real shame that as was hoping for a City Liverpool final

Man City imo are clearly the best side ever to play in the premiership and PG has to be the best manager of all time already ?

Spurs play great football but I cannot take to the club in any form i’m Afraid but their new ground is something else
