I agree - left, right, extreme left or right or centre - climate change affects the WHOLE planet. We can't just jump off and go to another one. When the planet is ****ed, it is ****ed.

In all fairness S J I'm more pissed off with the way people protest than the protest .
    They wouldn't do it elsewhere.

Sorry, I just don’t understand the point you’ve been making. You agree that climate change needs action, or I assume you do, but you don’t specify what kind of action.

Yes it is, it absolutely is, every arrest, every bit of publicity any attention at all is worth it! What's your way if not this? Propose a viable alternative that will bring about change and I'll be right there on my soap box.

As has been pointed out, without exactly this kind of campaign we wouldn’t have votes for women or an independent India, there would still be apartheid in South Africa, and we’d still be paying poll tax. So these actions which, in your view just annoy people, are very effective.

Oh yes they would and are. Here in The Hague, in Amsterdam, across Europe and worldwide. London is the focus at the moment getting plenty of coverage, mostly positive but plenty fake anger reports to.

Exactly. If actions don't inconvence signoficant numbers of people the vast majority will just ignore the events. The whole point of peaceful protests is to make the biggest noise in the most civilised way possible.

    Australia
