Jurgen Klopp says there is no injury for Roberto Firmino tonight and he has just opted for the fresh legs of Divock Origi. “No issue, actually – just respecting the fantastic form Divock Origi is in for weeks or months already, and bringing in fresh legs,” Klopp told BT Sport. “That’s all, the same we do in midfield because we expect a very intense game, we expect a hard-fighting Porto side. So we need to be ready for that. “Of course Bobby is ready for that but because he never gives himself a rest, from time to time we have to do it. But it’s not a rest actually, it’s bringing in Div and having that option: speed and all that stuff. That’s what we thought.” please log in to view this image
Klopp needs a lesson in Scouse, calling someone Div is not good. Wait until Origi finds out it is short for "Divvy"
Very attacking bench, hope that doesn't limit us if we are getting a bit squeaky-bum-time with 10 mins to go.
"Fresh Legs of Origi" and "rewarding Origi's good form" really means "I think we've already won this, so I'm putting Origi on and resting Firmino". I hope he's right.
Posted at 20:0520:05 GOAL - Manchester City 1-0 Tottenham (Agg 1-1) Raheem Sterling It's that man again! Brilliant from Man City. Kevin de Bruyne buzzes around central midfield and then feeds Raheem Sterling on the left inside the box. Kieran Trippier fails to show him down the outside and Sterling needs no invitation to shoot in this form. He curls it beautifully inside the far post. Lift off at the Etihad.
