If they sell every player withe any value they'll be able to just about give the club away. I expect them to cash in on Bowen, Grosicki and Henriksen and then ask £20-25m for the club, which is easily achievable for a club that's spent half the last decade playing in the Premier League.

Possible but not likely. Our time in the Premier League has no value other than the profits we made and that is time limited.

    I think it's very likely.

At £20/25m, absolutely no debt and all the FFP to play with... There isn't many more attractive clubs to buy then us in the championship ATM from an investor POV looking for the Riches of the prem

    Imo!

Ehab, is that you? (as someone else recently said)
I don't class Man U as financially stable given their debts. They do though have many things that we haven't (assets, fans, global marketing, assured massive income, etc etc ... in spite of having a ridiculously common overly long name).
How can we be 'financially stable' when we are £50 million in debt, losing money now week on week, next to no attending fans and merchandising income, next to no physical assets, a playing squad about to be ripped apart again, dependent on a lunatic family)? That's not stability, it's a ****ing train wreck.

Just my opinion but, with Bowen, KG and MH sold, I think that even at £25 million we would be overvalued, and I doubt buyers would be lining up even at that price.
It is however at least a bit more realistic than the current asking price (not the value) based on the alleged debt to the twats.

If the potential buyer wants to get into the Premier League why would they want the Allams to sell Bowen and Grosicki? Perhaps they think they can replace them with better players at a fraction of the cost?

If they had their choice I'm sure they wouldn't want them to sell, but we will never be sold for £50 and keep those 2 players. Yes we won't have a team full of players capable of getting us in the prem, but on the flip side we would be debt free, no dead wood on long contracts commanding large wages for 2/3yrs and we will have the full amount of FFP losses to play with.

It really can be looked at a number of ways and it will all depend on the buyer/s point of view and how they view things. Me personally would see it as a less risky buy then a club that I'd be taking on debt with, a club with a squad full of a mixture of good players and dead wood, club with large transfer installments due and one with a huge wage bill etc.

One of the first thing the Glaziers did when buying Manchester United was to get the club to pay the purchase price. That is an extreme example but we have our own version of that. Just because we have little debt other than Allamhouse doesn't mean we will be debt free if a new owner buys the club.

A football club is a name, a team and not much else. Our name has been dragged through the mud by the Allams and we'll have no team. Any new owner would have to build a new team, one that can avoid relegation. To do that will cost money that the owners would have to put in. The total purchase price could end up being closer to £50 million than £25 million after they rebuilt the squad. Allowing Bowen and Grosicki to leave just to get the price down is, I suggest, a reflection of their ambition.

They will have three years FFP profits to play with. If the new owners don't have the money to invest the profits won't be an asset.

There is another asset worth buying the club for and that's the KC and the land around it. For £25 million I wouldn't be surprised to see Duffen's consortium rise from the dead.

I agree the total price could well be close to £50m once player spend etc is take. Into account, the big difference though is it will be a team they/our management has chosen to put together and the transfer fees structured to there wants/needs. As I say it will all just depend on how they would view things and what their ambitions ultimately are

Fingers crossed we find out soon and we can enjoy debating their methods, intentions and goals

I don't know about that. £50 seems more than reasonable. Still £49 more than the twats said mindst.

I might be splitting hairs here but you all keep referring to a 50m price once Bowen and Grosicki are replaced. That's not true as any significant player replacement, ie good players worth something, would be assets and not part of any overall 'purchase' price. Now if you're talking about required investment then yes, but don't confuse the two terms. Yes I may be being pedantic but if I was spending 25m on the club with no appreciable assets then investing another 25m in players I'd want to see the second 25m reflected as assets.

If someone wants to buy the club and invest in players totalling £50 to get to the EPL then why have they just not paid that now and hit the ground running? And with a manager in place. I dont expect the club to be sold to anyone prepared to put us in that position. Budget sale and another season of struggles but without Nige to give the fans value for money. Must just also say thanks Nige you have made this a top season. UTT (corrected)

For the sake of his transfer fee, I hope Bowen gets his boots back on in the next 3 games. Same applies to Kamil. !!!!!
