It was a good game with a lot of incidents and turning points, [but] the sending off was detrimental to us and some of the decisions went against us today. We were under pressure and we had problems to finish in the second half. It's unpredictable sometimes, and it became difficult. At 4-1 we panicked a bit. But we were a little bit unlucky too. You have to take it on the chin and look at the positives. I didn't see the sending off very well. But Barton should have been sent off too. We dropped two points, for sure.

I expected a lot of whinging, but well done Arsene.

"I didn't see the sending off very well. But Barton should have been sent off too".

Funny considering both incidents were within seconds of each other. Another example of Wenger's selective vision.

To be fair, the guy is a great manager but a complete tool with his selective view on things. Why not just come out and give respect to the oppo? (and believ me it hurts to say that about Newcastle)

Unless there is a clear incident such as wilsheres tackle on zigic a while ago he only says that to protect his players
What use it it to come out and say "yeaa Diaby was a right prick, what the **** was he thinking absolutely terrible and i think he cost us the game"
that would just murder the players confidence and trust in the manager.

I understand your points and agree to a certain extent regarding protecting his players, but I think he could be a bit more gracious to the oppo in defeat, thats all.

Got to say, Wenger is a disgrace, the most ungracious man in football. I live with 2 gooners, and they are just as bad, what the hell is it with your fans? pathetic.

When we lose, fair enough. Not when we draw in my opinion. Especially after such a collapse.

I can see why he wouldn't put it exactly like that, but Diaby has effectively cost you the game with what was a completely stupid overreaction. Surely Wenger could do what most managers do and accept his player has been a bit silly and that he's got to learn from it and do better in the future. Otherwise he's effectively oking Diaby's actions and making it more likely he'll do something similar in the future. Even if he then has a word in private, his public words will still have an effect on the player's future behaviour.
