I have organic porridge with chia seeds and chopped prunes, cooked in almond milk and/or water, for breakfast most week days. I never drink fruit juice but eat loads of fruit, predominantly bananas and apples. I don't put sugar in anything, ever. I make meals which have veg in, love a lot of cooked veg and especially like having broccoli as a side. The flip side is, I drink waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Too much beer and too much wine, to be absolutely honest. I off set it by drinking loads of water all day but I think that merely balances it out a tiny bit. I'm also partial to a weekly cooked breakfast and a McShit wrap on my Friday commute home. In a nut shell; I'm probably worse than I am good.
Munchies mate...but I'm in one of them conditions where a good year of discipline could change things dramatically.
Hiya mate. Were all ok here...the site Mod is a bit of a prick though. Just avoid getting into a debate with him...you'll be fine
I'm really starting to like you guys and the site already, you all seem so friendly. Thanks for the advice about the site mod, I will do my best to avoid him, the jumped up little hitlers! Is there any other nasty people i need to avoid?
I can't see that username in the forum search, but will keep an eye, you seem such a lovely homeboy, looks like i've mad a friend already
I dont drink fizzy . Don't eat much Bacon,Sausage Red Meat anymore . Eat way to much Chocolate. Love olives and beer .
I do stare at that blank wall often and think about what I'm missing tbh. I'll have to check out the 'live' stuff, my mate makes and sells it as it should be i.e. fermented. But she's just had a baby so she's not around atm. I might get my arse in gear and whip up a batch. I ****ing love the stuff, could eat it morning, noon and evening.
Sauerkraut is fermented cabbage, and fermented foods produce probiotics which promote healthy gut bacteria, which in turn is the basis of a good immune system. So anything fermented, Sauerkraut, Kefir, Yogurt, Miso etc. But like @Tel says avoid the pickled stuff as that's just food preserved in vinegar. Nothing wrong with that, but won't have the probiotics.
I bet you’ve got a right good network of dorks who grow stuff. Have you got your own range of beef jerky? Actual beef though not Feef.
The benefits of probiotics and a healthy gut @Spurlock is that many folk these days take in artificial ingredients which kill all of the good enzymes in the stomach. Enzymes break your food and drink down and extract the nutrients for good use. If you have low enzyme count then you could be eating healthy foods and seeing no great change in wellbeing or physique. Furthermore, if you have good gut bacteria you will eventually develop an engine that can deal with ****ty foods such as McDonalds, and your body would just destroy everything in it’s path and dispose of it. These folk you see who can eat what they want and stay jacked generally have a high enzyme count.
