We troubled their defence in the first 10 minutes but failed to score when we could have done. After that they took total control. Their defence definitely isn't the best but their pressing and ball retention is excellent and when they get the ball to the front three you're in trouble. The quality of 2 out of the 3 finishes was world class.

Will be a good tie between them and Liverpool. I suspect Messi may find a way to dribble past VVD at least once so that stat can be put to bed!

Rashford showed that you can get at them but there was no other ****er anywhere near him, IF we play them then we will have numbers in attack but getting enough of the ball is the problem. We're not going to sit back though we would go at them and try and pressure them into mistakes. I'm really excited to play them so I hope it doesn't all go wrong tonight.

United fans on the phone ins have been ****ing hilarious. This was my particular favourite,:

"He's (Ole) not good enough. He's got to go. If we had got Klopp or Guardiola, we'd be higher In the table now"

Their defence is no great shakes and you can score against them. We put four past them in our two games. Trying to keep em out at the other end is always the problem with Barca. And if Messi decides he’s in the mood!.....watch out!...

    Embarrassing.

One thing I hate about PL football is that every ****, regardless of how clueless they are, has an opinion. They've watched part of a game or heard something on Sky Sports News and they think that qualifies them as an expert.

When United lose a "big" game I get texts from people who I haven't heard from since the last time United lost a "big" game and who have spent the interim period watching rugby.

I remember people saying 'but could he do it in England?'

He's scored 15 goals in the last 10 games against England's best. Can you imagine him turning out against the Brighton's and Burnley's on a weekly...would be carnage.

I used to get wound up on the Liverpool board with Wishi as she'd only turn up when it was going wrong.

He'd probably struggle at Turf Moor in midwinter - most people do tbh.

I’ve said for about 4 weeks now the players look ****ed. It was a result of a paper thin squad being stretched by injuries. The fitness levels of Mourinho were obviously poor and the lads are gassing now.

I’d start Romero, Darmian, Smalling, Lindelof, Dalot, Matic, McSauce, Garner, Gomes, Greenwood and Sanchez against Everton.

The kind of comments I would expect to encounter if I engaged in a conversation with football "fans" today:

"McShane aint good enough to play at that level mate."

"I've never rated De Gea, he's never been good on crosses."

"Phil Jones aint a right back mate."

"They should never have got rid of Fergie."

"Why did they let Messi have so much of the ball?"

"If you're going to play 5 at the back then you need to have full backs who can attack."

They were probably the same people demanding he be given the job when he won the first couple of games.

The problems at United aren't Ole, it's the monkeys above him who can't/won't get their heads around what the club as a whole wants. We don't want dancers who don't work but sell shirts on half a million a week. We want ****s like this out of the club.

I'm happy enough for Ole to be manager for a decent period of time but it should have waited till the end of the season.
Woodward bowed to the media in giving it him and he will bow to the media when he sacks him and brings the next stooge in.

What did it achieve? We've been ****e ever since, all the players immediately took their foot off the gas, there was an instant and immediate reduction in effort.

It's not helped get players signed up, Herrera and De Gea will leave anyway. And it won't help in recruitment as we're in free-fall so any new players will naturally wait to find out where we finish before committing.

We need to start by getting rid of Pogba, Lukaku and Sanchez and their obscenely bloated wages and set the pay benchmark far lower. If De Gea doesn't accept lower too, he can go.

United is run by ****ing idiots. The club is ****ed if the Glazers don't sell and Woodward sticks around.

The transfer activity and player management under LVG and Mourinho was really poor.

Last night we had Young at LB while Daley Blind was playing there for Ajax as they beat Juve away from home!

People say that City's achievements aren't all that because of how much money they've spent but if you look at who Guardiola has bought, they've largely been quality players and he gets the best out of them.
