Can't see your point about not getting your cash back when something is ****? Is the entrance fee now refunded if Sunderland are ****e? I have walked out of loads of films where the reviews have been great, but I found the film ****e. I paid to go see a young Lenny Henry at the La Strada, he was abysmal, and the only entertainment that night was listening to the hecklers. I have never abused or attacked another supporter for defending Bruce nor ordered anyone to follow my point of view. The same can't be said of the pro Bruce who have attacked me and other supporters for not towing their line. There's a big difference between standing up for your opinions and slanging off and calling other fellow Mackems names, or worse still being bad supporters. (Not you MrR ) A lot of threads were started with the soul intention of having a go at anyone who didn't rate Bruce. I don't recall one started having a go at anyone supporting Bruce. (Their belief in Bruce is admirable, even though personally I think they are papering over any chinks in Bruce's armour.)
Thats so true but when the people who want Bruce to go are similarly abused by those that want him to stay it is equally frustrating and unwarranted. Being called a Mag because you think the current manager is **** is uncalled for but happens regularly. Being accused of repeating your feelings, mainly in response to those who equally repeat their opposite point of view is hypercritical and annoying too. This is the hot topic of the moment and its not going away. Bruce could have done so by better shaping and preparing the club and team and getting off to the start we all hoped for. We should have defeated a very poor noocarsel team an beaten an equally woeful Swansea team and we should definitely have advanced into\ the next round of the the cup. We failed all three and now Bruce clings to the draw at Liverpool (anyone watching it however, would concede we were bloody lucky not to be 4 or 5 down at half time) and at Swansea like a life raft in a sea full of hungry sharks. Apparently we were just unlucky yesterday and could have got something from the game on another day? I mean, what ****e is that to defend? Bruce is dragging the club down and the debate about him will continue unabated until it is resolved. Thats a fact we are all going to have to get used to.
The only problem with the left sided player thing is, he was given plenty of money to spend, he just chose to spend it in the wrong areas

My point was, its live, you dont know what you are getting, Bruce has been there 3 years, if he was ****e in the 1st season, and then the 2nd, why even bother going to the 3rd, you wouldnt go to see the same film 3 times, or see 3 different films if the Director was ****, you would watch 1, maybe give the 2nd a chance, but 3rd you would just download or watch it on Sky, you wouldnt go to pay to see it, so why do that for a football match if you know, 9 times out of 10, its going to be a **** display, players playing out of position, and a crap Manager. I just dont understand why the naysayerskeep going back and paying £400 a year for the privilage, keep going back for more punishment, and then complain about it, you choose to pay the cash, and go. The supporters support Sunderland Association Football Club, that in my case has been for 50 years I will always support SAFC, but reserve the right to have a go at anyone who isn't doing the best for my club. My "peeve" with the Bruce out Brigade tag was it was being used as a stick to beat anyone who questioned Bruce's tactical nous.
I agree that some of this is down to the club having a capped wage structure. We have chased N'Zogbia for a long time, i also believe had we coughed up he would be in a red and white shirt, now if thats down to the fact he wanted more money than we were prepared to pay that is not bruces fault. If Bruce is the scapegoat he needs to be man enough and say why? Short has a problem in the fact Gyan could see out his contract playing elsewhere as now eveyone knows he has no future here they will want him for nothing. he could sack Bruce and tell Gyan to come back after his loan spell under a new manager. i hope the hell he rots in the U.A.E Lets face it the football yesterday was dire Its time we looked at the players attitude before we buy them.
Its not about me at all and I love my club and just because it is temporarily being managed by a clueless individual doesn't mean I give up on it. I never boo at the game, or give individual players grief although I do get very animated during the 90 mins. I merely express an opinion on a message board that far too many take far too seriously. Bruce is not a **** bloke but he is a **** manager. Soon, he will be gone and we can look froward to what the new man brings to the table.
You're a better man than me Cest as I have booed teams and targeted individual players who clearly weren't trying or looked interested. On the flipside I have cheered off teams that were absolute ****e but gave 110% and showed some pride in wearing the red and white. And I'm talking back in the dark days of 2nd and 3rd divs.
