Dont like that sentence, since I feel it's a cursed point of view. Lewis was considerd that by his ilk and it's looking like he's going backwards now. Seb is Seb, not Senna.
I'm sure Vettel would take offence to the Senna comparison too. When he was compared to schumacher before, he said that he just wanted to be the next Sebastian Vettel.
I was convinced he was heading for a big off during that move and would collect Alonso on his way out. Incredibly they managed to hold it all together.
Well thats just a matter of opinion whether they would have backed out, most of them would duck back in and try to get them into the next corner, that what I think! And i disagree that the FL's are redundant, they show the relative pace of each car throughout the race, clearly showing that there was a bigger gap between the Mclaren/ Mercedes than between the Ferrari/RBR! And even without the lap times you could see by watching the race that Schumacher was holding up the McLaren's massively - look at the gap that Alonso got on them! It was clear to see that Button was miles faster than Schumacher so his move on Schumi was nothing special. Im pretty sure Michael made a mistake which allowed Jenson through. There is a huge stack of evidence showing that Vettel is every bit as good at overtaking as Alonso, Button, Hamilton etc and I really think its time all the doubters put their hands up and said they were wrong. Eddie Jordan, who has much more knowledge than us, doubted it but now he has admitted he was wrong - its time for everyone else to do the same!
So are you saying Bruno Senna was the fourth fastest driver today? Vettel can overtake but he is not one of the best overtakers.
I'm sure everyone on the track can overtake, they just don't have the cars capable of doing it. Vettel's move was great, but there has been better this year, such as Webber's on Alonso through Eau Rouge, Hamilton's around the outside of Vettel at China and Webber at Germany, Alonso's overtakes of the line in Monza and Catalunya. And not forgetting Button's overtakes, which are more tactical, but still brilliant
Can't please everybody... Lewis' overtake at China was because Seb was a sitting duck with his tyres being shot, yes it was towards the end but Lewis had the advantage. For me with all bias cast aside Seb's overtake IS! one of the best this season, since of the speed he was going at.
I don't rate the hamilton pass in china. Vettel had a very old set of tyres on, and was unable to defend adequately.
he didn't say he was like Senna, or the new Senna, he said he was the best since Senna, not comparing their race skills or styles at all, and I think he's right. And don't forget he's still younger than Senna was when he entered F1. Last race the overtake on Rosberg was great, this race the overtake on Alonso was phenomonal, they should've shut up a few of the 'he can't overtake' brigade.
All right, but but still he had the high ground of fresher rubber and I can remember Martin Brundle saying " He had so much grip, confidence and poise through there".
Just cant stop loving it btw found this which made me laugh
Not another ****ing thread on a single overtake Jesus wept, are we going to get this every time he passes somebody?
I think after that overtake both sides will shut up in the future I reckon. Next it's going to be about teammates...
