Didn't want to put this in the actual thread but as far as I know we've always made a new thread on the Hillsborough anniversary, i saw you merged my thread sorry if I was out of line making a new one. We were taken to task by a rival fan two years ago for not marking the occasion with a thread - I seem to recall he commented about 8am before any of us had a chance to get one up. The point being I know our fans and other fans look on today's anniversary for the commemoration.

That thread wasn't started at the time I'm talking about (it must have been 3 years ago not 2) because I remember pointing out to him the links from previous years. Anyway as you say we do have a dedicated thread atm for people to post their respects.

If memory serves me right, it wasn't stickied, nor had the title been updated

That thread was started when we were waiting for the conclusion of the hearing in late April 2016. It's been a place to go to mark the anniversary only twice, three times if you count today.

At some point, hopefully very soon, all the trials and hearings will be over and we can decide whether we want it permanently stickied, searched for each anniversary or a new thread made each year because I don't think any of us want the day forgotten.

Just read that. What a shame. May have broken out due to renovation work - ironic.

It is not uncommon for fires to start during renovation work. All it takes is some muppet with a hot air gun or blowtorch doing hot works and away you go.

it will be like the Mackintosh in Glasgow after every renovation it catches fire again.

might want to check the whereabouts of the directors of building companies who specialise in historical building renovations :bandit:

**** knows but what you appeared to be after was
Nave -the central part of a church building, intended to accommodate most of the congregation. In traditional Western churches it is rectangular, separated from the chancel by a step or rail, and from adjacent aisles by pillars.

    Knave - is a dodgy character .

Churches never all go. The stonework will be ok, it's just the wood that goes.
