I'm of course interested in seeing how they end it but I think it's massively overhyped and not even that great a show coming at it objectively
I think it's overhyped as there are raving lunatics theorising over every scene and endless crap coming from ****e like Thronecast. Take all that away though and it is a great show.
was tempted to post a fake spoiler but said nah... I wonder how many couldn't help themselves look at it.
I can't believe that Ned Stark's zombie turned into a cross dresser and slept with Jon. / Haven't watched in several years... Making fake rumours.
#theyalldieintheend GoT episode 1 done, stayed up to watch it It was decent, just about what you'd expect for the start of the series, hopefully it gets a lot better soon
So many podcasts and youtube channels. You wonder how much it effects what happens in the show since I think they've increasingly put in more 'fan service' as the show has gone along. I think the most impressive part of the show are the visuals and locations really, can't deny those are stunning, but the writing and script is often average and quite a bit of the acting is actually ****.
Visually it's incredible for a TV show, plot yes gets a bit daft at times and the acting is a mixed bunch but for all the bad you also have some very good performances from Dinklage and Charles Dance for example. As a spectacle it's superb TV.
When I watched all the previous 7 series recently I was struck that in the first series all the epic battles were either in the dark, or the army road off and then the next scene was two characters discussing how tough the battle had been. Clearly on a smaller budget in case it never took off. As soon as they realised what a hit they had on their hands the budget for each episode went to over £10m and they had epic battles and loads of CGI. It will be interesting to see what the spend, and end result, will be for the Lord Of The Rings prequels they are currently making, think it is Amazon Prime behind that series.
You lot are miserable ****s. So I'm actually going to discuss the episode. Spoiler: GoT Spoilers Fairly typical opening but too many reunions spread out over the episode. Should have got them all done at the start, almost as an echo to the very first episode and the arrival at Winterfell Can say I'm on the side of Jon Snow with all the squabbling over titles and thrones, Sansa has become an irritant, who give a ****. Don't stop the WW and it doesn't matter. Sort that stuff out after
I'm not expecting Amazon to be as free-giving with the purse strings myself, but we will see. They have some shows that are not cheap but they don't tend to go all-blockbuster. I think they learnt their lesson not to overspend when Grand Tour turned out to be a flop.
