That was a terrible drive from Mark Webber.

He clipped Massa's wheel and spun him out, and in doing so, ruined Massa's chances of taking 5th. Massa did a similar thing to Hamilton in Fuji in 08 - and Massa got a penalty for that.

It doesn't matter that Webber retired from this race, the stewards need to be consistent and penalise Webber.

The stewards are not keen on being consistent, it was a silly move but him going out will save him a penalty. It shouldn't matter but it will.

Petrov last year in Japan got a penalty after going out of a race. He deserves a penalty for it.

the stewards don't seem to be handing out anything at the moment, massa was in front, webber should have waited to pass somewhere else, but thats racing, it just let Jenson gain 2 places in one corner, so im not complaining :p

Webber tried to take avoiding action, thats what counts. He didn't just ram Massa, he tried to avoid doing it. It's just a racing incident in my book.

of course he should! It wasnt a racing incident where two guys were side by side - Massa was CLEARLY in front and Weber carelessly banged into his rear wheel, spinning Massa and damaging his front wing - it wasnt a racing incident it was a careless and poor piece of driving - Webber better be careful as he's getting almost as careless and crashy as Lewis Hamilton!

Hamilton has crashed five times this year. this is Webber's first. Amazing how people say Hamilton is amazing to watch even when he crashes and then Webber makes one mistake and people are all over him saying stupid **** like what you're saying. Seriously think before you type.

Spot on. Webber has finished every race this season, bar today, in 5th place or better. He is not a crasher at all.

    Its the way it goes.

No driver is allowed to make a mistake without it being blown out of all proportion and their very existence in F1 being questioned.

Racing incident, although I think Mark should get a reprimand for that.

Silly move, didn't seem to take any avoiding action at all until it was too late, he could've gone deeper into the first chicane instead of going for the apex, as to a penalty, if they're not going to penalise Schumacher for his shenanigans I don't see why they should penalise Webber. Webber is careless though, lucky Alonso yielded last race otherwise it would've been a nasty accident.

So you think losing your front wing and retiring from the race, is the same as wiping out 3 cars damaging 2 others and causing a safety car are the same thing?

I'm glad your not a steward.

lol thats quite funny cause (weirdly) Liuzzi did nothing wrong. He was dodging a slow Sauber but got 2 wheels on the grass and turned too sharply as he came back on the track, and so he span. didnt deserve a penalty, and I really dislike him.

In regards to Webber, yes it was a bit careless, but it was a racing incident. Massa actually came across his front wing. Felipe could have gave him a bit more room just to be on the safe side, but I doubt he'd think like that. And besides, Webber hit Hamilton a Singapore last year and that was judged as a racing incident, so why shouldn't this? its pretty much exactly the same.

Stewards are terrible at being consistent. Look at MotoGP and the penalty they gave Marco Simoncelli. I've seen his overtake on Dani Pedrosa at Le Mans, and Pedrosa didnt attempt to continue turning in, as soon as he saw Simoncelli, he hit him. Typical Stoner and Lorenzo to get involved and start whinging
