No, not Ben Sherman. Can't post images on this thread, or I'd find one. Some sort of light material called cheesecloth. Fine until you washed them, then they shrank in half and went completely shapeless.
Any other London lads that used to shop at the Ivy shop in Richmond? Enro American half sleeve shirts, Ben Sherman’s, brogues, tassels, Gibson’s & plains?
I used to wear the Levi sta-press and the mint green sherman shirt which was a classic. I still have 2 Harrington bombers, my original and a Lambretta burgundy one I bought last year, square toe brogues were cool back then too, brown running into burgundy..
Mens cheese cloth shirts came about a year later for me, usually striped. Wore them and grandad shirts with a pin-strip waistcoat and hair like Robert Plant ha!...........happy days..
Was about the time i'd wear nothing but Levi jeans, Doc boots and a Fred Perry polo. Or it was a Ben Sherman shirt, with either a Crombie or my flight jacket. For other random times it's be loafers and stay press. I never parted from my Docs, i once got a pair of broque boots, (tan) destroyed them, then back to indistructable Docs, of various holes. And Fred Perry and Ben Sherman are still going strong.
Never dit the crombies either, love the Lambretta Harrington I got last year, really well tailored in burgundy, the 2 button collar with a brown/beige check lining. My original black one has the red tartan lining, wouldn't get the bugger over my arms now like haha..
Still got a pair of Loakes burgundy fringe n tassel loafers. My gut’s too big for Fred Perry or Ben Sherman though
I got a black Sherman, just before Christmas with a red tartan inner collar.. Proper Suggs style and a beaut of a shirt. They do long, regular or short length shirts, so no matter what your size, they look good @Archers Road
Depends which cut you get. Some are meant for being worn outside and some inside. Basically straight cut of the other one.
Always out for me, just seems natural. Even in the late 70's early 80's when every blob was tucking their shirt in Travolta style, mine stayed out. Easier to get off at sleep time and doesn't get caught in ya flies..
Ha, has to be XL and a loose cut for me these days. Drift King do polos that are designed to be worn loose
Booze and Glory, W.Ham skinhead band, but not really in your face type skinhead. That track and this one are my favourites by them
As long as it's a straight cut mate, i can't even remember the name for the other one's, the one's not cut straight along the bottom.
