Founded by an Englishman and originally they played both football and cricket. So perhaps they have kept it anglicised. Same with Athletic Bilbao, apart from the period when Franco was in power, then Athletic became Atlético but as soon as he was gone, the club club reverted to its original name.

Tight end to the season in League One, Barnsley currently sitting second on 82 points with Sunderland and Pompey both on 80 with a game in hand. Think they play each other too.
So are Charlton. I reckon Sunderland get mighty nervous in front of their own fans. As for Pompey who knows but they have some very tricky matches coming up - Coventry, Burton, Peterboro, Sunderland and one more that I cannot remember.
Can you think of any other profession/workplace where 3 assaults in the workplace and other multiple incidents result in you being paid oodles of dosh, erm, to do it again. OK boxing, but you know what I mean.
Looked at the attendance figures for Villa and Leeds. Wow! Over 41.000 and 36,000 respectively. If both get promoted that will make a big dent in the Championship attendance figures next season. One of the players of the season must be Tammy Abraham. Wolves were keen to buy him outright but for whatever reason nothing materialised. Just maybe he is hoping to become a regular in the Chelsea side or failing that, going to another high profile PL club like Southampton. (I wish)
