But he couldn’t do that with us because our CEO has a tight grip on the budget and our DoF determines who we buy. Allegedly. You are probably right about Carvalhal though, he is a bit of a gun for hire. I’d prefer a lower league bloke.
Fair points made. But there's nothing to say a manager can't be told, when signing, that he needs to work in a certain way and then adopt that way. However, it'd be a lot smarter to hire a manager who knows how to do the things you'd be asking of him.
QPR in ‘advanced talks’ with Carlos CARVALHAL according to the Times. While I don’t dislike him I can’t help thinking we should be looking further down the leagues or abroad. Meanwhile Warnock will be sacked at the end of this season, with Cardiff trying to figure out ways not to pay him for the remainder of his contract (one season). I definitely don’t want him, but if he is available and we aren’t doing well, the new man will be under instant pressure from a section of the fan base.
I saw that comment about Cardiff trying to find ways of avoiding a pay off to Warnock. I felt that was really ungrateful, considering what he's done for them: the Cardiff team have given it a real go in the Premiership this season and they've been unlucky at times. I'd have Warnock back at Loftus Road, no question.

Surely they could pay him with the money they’re not going to pay for poor Sala? It’s an ungrateful business.
Why aren't you a fan of Warnock, Sb? And to be specific about the question, even if you don't like him as a person, why wouldn't you want him as QPR boss given his track record in the championship? Genuinely curious and apologies if you've posted elsewhere and I've missed it.
so: McLaren was allowed to 1 or 2 free transfers and had four loans. The new person coming in wont have the loans and is likely to have to make further cut backs I think we should go for the A Team.. George Peppard and could always liked it when the odds were stacked against them.....it's that kind of leadership we need
