weird game at Spurs tonight, no one seemed to go for the jugular. The return leg will be interesting. Was the foul on Kane deliberate?
Every time I hear the name of the fella that got the first goal for Liverpool last night I start singing his name to this...….. If you listen to it you will too.
I’d love Ajax to win the Champions League. Proper club with a great system and ethos, lots of kids, not much money compared to the others in the competition. Though anyone but Spurs would be ok.
You old contrarian. I had a run in with some of their **** head fans when leaving the FA Cup Final (first game) in 1982. They will never be forgiven.
Anyone but Man City for me, and that goes for any competition. Although a Chelsea v Man City Champions League Final would be a difficult watch.
And so, night follows day. The most predictable event of all in football. Warnock charged by the FA over his comments after the Chelsea game. I kid you not. It really has happened. Who would have guessed? There is nothing more predictable than that this cosy corrupt little cartel (no not the EU) should be rushing to punish him in a show trial for daring to speak the truth. No doubt the vested interests will unite to ensure that he never manages in the PL again. Then they can all get back to ensuring that nothing is done to level up the playing field and following their prime directive - to protect the interests of the big clubs. Sorry I meant the integrity and high principles of our national game. Wouldn't you just love it if he decided he had nothing to lose and just stood his ground and turned the spotlight on the FA.
As you say, with him nearing his retirement and Cardiff looking certs to go down, he could just go into the hearing and tell them what a bunch of corrupt weasels they are and tell them to stick their fine and ban where the sun don't shine. He could then enjoy a well earned retirement and, no doubt, a career in the media where he could continue where he left off...
Might wind up a few on here too but he would certainly provoke a healthy and dare I say it far more interesting debate than the Brexit one!
I read in the Times today that Tan is looking for any excuse to avoid having to pay him off at the end of the season - I wonder what sort of trumped up charge of gross misconduct he will come up with? He'll have to go someway to improve on the sheer stupidity of Flavio saying Paulo Sousa had blurted out confidential information when asked the direct question in a press conference did he know the club was about to sell Dexter Blackstock. He answered truthfully that he didn't. Clearly he was expected to tell the journo that something he knew nothing about was meant to be a secret except to the press when it was announced. Flavio knows about money but his command of logic and reality left a bit to be desired.
