What about muslims? Do you think it would be OK for your kids to have a relationship with a muslim?

 

When my kids are old enough to get married if they allow me, or anyone else, to dictate to them who they can like then I'll be pretty disappointed in them.

 

If my son met a wishy washy Muslim girl that wanted to escape her strict family and live like a normal Western woman then yes she could marry in a registry office and join the family no problem.

She could be free to wear a headscarf or not and eat whatever she wanted .
We would not become sharia compliant to suit her but she can believe what ever nonsensical backwards ideology she wants.


Her parents would probably disown her or threaten to harm her though sadly.
As that is what they are instructed to do in their scriptures.



I wouldn't want my daughter to become the property of a Muslim man because she would be giving up her own freedoms and culture to submit to a terrible backwards misogynistic ideology.

 

What if it was a disabled wishy washy muslim girl? Would she be welcomed into your family of love and peace?

I would not be comfortable as depending on the severity the person would need lots and lots of specialist care and attention.

I would want my kids to live a life where they can both work and travel and start a family .

If the partner was wheelchair bound or couldn't walk far then this would limit their choices .

None of you have started a relationship with disabled people partly for these selfish reasons.

You are just not honest enough to admit it.

 

I just want my kids to live a life that makes them happy and fulfilled, whatever that may be... what I might want for them comes second to that by a considerable distance ... as it should always do
