I guess this was 4 games in 10 days and it shows. Wyke missed another sitter CBs were awful..but one scored a goal Brian Ovideo my MoM
Wyke had a good game for me. Yeah he missed a sitter first half but was unlucky with the one second half. If he had mishit it he would have scored but caught it flush and cracked the bar. His all round game was good and he put himself about a hell of a lot. Just a shame Grigg isn't fully fit as he would benefit massively from Wyke attracting centre halves attention. Morgan was gash mind as was Honeyman. We massively missed Goochs energy and Mcgeadys quality hope to **** they are fit for Saturday as we looked so devoid of creativity and even effort down the flanks.
This ref is a disgrace. Seems to be every w inhope we don’t have to rely on others and it stays in our hands. Win 5 of our 6 we go up. Simples
we wont catch Luton now, so we need a Luton win coupled with us winning, and i would start Kimp he got straight at Burton, why has he not been playing instead of wyke(Danny graham in disguise) ? so Sterling and Kimp to start on Saturday Jack please.
Having watched these two highlights courtesy of RTB, ( many thanks ) to be fair to Wyke he did everything right except score, and is taking the brunt of the criticism. yet once again Grigg seems to have been a peripheral player in the context of the game, and does not react to either situation with any credit imo, he looks very much like a latter day Steven Fletcher to me.
I reckon he is carrying an injury... if that is the case Sterling or Kimpokia should play and bring him on for the last 20mins if required, he had a poor game. Yes Wykes general play was good last night, he held the ball up well and won lots of flick on headers BUT and it is a big BUT he missed a very easy chance... strikers need to score.
He scored last game to be fair. Good strikers miss more chances than bad ones, cos they get in position. He’s an asset for me he puts himself about and he’s absolutely benefiting the team at the minute.
Will take last nights result as one step closer to where we need to be. I like the look of the table. Each result now for us and the other teams around is going to be huge. I don't think we will win all of our games left so if can't win get the point. It's tight, but belief and application should get us over line to finish in the top two...
He was unlucky in both. First one he did well to control it. Keeper had a bit of luck in saving it. Second one he hit well. I mean if he'd have fallen on his arse or shanked them then I could understand criticism. I find it hard to criticise him on this evidence.
This wasn't a disaster result at all. We didn't lose against by all accounts a decent team in this league who should probably be placed higher. It's still all in our control which we simply cannot complain about IMO.
I don't get some of our fans at times. If we were 10 points clear at the top there would be some who would find fault. We've just had 4 games in 10 days including a cup final and two others away from home, we've picked up seven points ffs. No wonder some of the lads were a bit leggy last night little wonder and then take into account our growing list of injuries, Burton had chances as did we but only scored off a lucky deflection yet we came from behind again, that's nearly 30 points won from losing positions and people still find fault, I find that quite staggering imo.
That Wyke chance first half is already past the keeper when he gets his hand to it! Feel for him there as it looks in for every second and the keepers hand comes down and it sticks! 95% of the time they hit the hand and go in
