It's been suggested that England are considering replacing Capello for the Euro's, possibly with Harry Redknapp. We've already discussed how Saints are naturally far more important than the National side, but I bet we'll all get our little flags out when the competition actually starts. Capello and Sven both did very well during qualification, but have failed in the actual competitions. Given the dirth of suitable candidates, what do you feel about Redknapp..remember you will have to look at his face a lot. Incidently, can the England team go into administration:cheesy:

A Big NO NO to twitchy thanks.........He is ok when things are going your way but not so good when things are not. When you have some one bankrolling your excesses twitchy excells. Without the bankrolling not sure he would make it.

Couldn't care less. England and the FA are corrupt, so why not employ a corrupt manager (who is currently in court for tax evasion).

If England never played another game of international football, I wouldn't be bothered.

No..because we need him at Southampton. He's our secret and I hope all Prem and National teams overlook him. Sorry Nige, but that's how it is!

With a bit of luck, Nigel will realise that Saints are the pinnacle of any achievement he could make as a manager, and wave away the invitation, if it ever happens.

roy hodgson is a great manager. Twitchy would only end up negotiating 1m a game for England players then blame the FA if we lose

I'd be happy with Redknapp, he's a pretty good manager at the end of the day. Roy Hodgson would be my first choice though.

I'd enjoy seeing Redknapp fail miserably then end up doing a second rate job at a Championship club with far too much money and being gone by Christmas. It's win-win. I'd support hiring hiim.

If Redknapp got the job, won the European and World Cups, we might learn to tolerate him providing he wore a burkha on the touchline and never gave another TV interview (especially whilst sitting in a car!).

I'd like an Englishman to replace FC. For me, he's lost the players, the spirit & he'll lose abysmally at the next tournament. Lets pay up his pension contract & get rid, so we can start liking the national team once again.

Harry'll be in prison soon, won't he? He'd have to be like genial 'Arry Grout, running the old firm from behind bars.

IMO someone like Redknapp would be perfect for England. Their number one problem atm is the egos of the players, not giving a f**k about playing for england and thinking that their own personal reps are far more important. I think a no nonsense manager like Redknapp would shoot down all the egos and bring them all down to earth and wouldnt take any s**t from them. That and the fact that hes English so would have a knowledge of the English leagues, and maybe the players would respect him more.

Someone like big Sam Allardyce might be another suitable candidate imo.
