Really looking forward to this game. Wolves are very similar to Saints. A really good season playing well above themselves because (a) they have a really good manager who encourages a high press and (b) no fancy Dans - just a solid team that works together. We can win this but it will be tough. The most important thing is not to lose. Either way, they won't come here to park the bus, It will be an open and attracive game - one to enjoy for the quality of football from both sides.
Not in despair or even near it, but I think fate hasn't finished torturing us or Cardiff yet. Can see Cardiff winning and us losing.....to make us panic and give Cardiff hope. Been a Saints fan too long to expect anything different. Prove me wrong, Ralphie.
I felt like that for the Liverpool game...unable to use the 'get out of jail free card' for this game. I will suffer through this match....whatever the logical side of my brain tries to tell me.
Sort of hoping Wolves are all on a massive downer from last weekend. Probably clutching at straws there really. There wasn’t actually much in it at Molineux last year though, bar our inability to either score or defend, so it’s not asking too much to turn it round.
Easy this footy, score freely, take control of the midfield and defend well. Scoring more than the opposition usually wins the game. Jab
It's ok. I think my desire to have a helicopter crashing as Fosse's avatar outweighs my desire for Saints to win this game so my match thread would've been half hearted.
Wolves are on the beach. Let's encourage this behaviour by giving their fans free towels and sun tan lotion and playing summer music through the speakers in the wolves dressing room.
As always, I hope we line up with a back 4 rather than a back 5, and give ourselves a bit more attacking intent Gunn Valery Bednarek Vestegaard Bertrand JWP Romeu Hojbjerg Armstrong Ings Redmond Bench: McCarthy, Stephens, Targett, Slattery, Sims, Long, Austin
