Honestly have no complaints with the ref. I thought he was fair and consistent. VAR was **** and, as is becoming the norm, destroyed any atmosphere tbe game had
Very close but the right decision imo. The only one they got wrong was the Salah challenge, at least a yellow imo
You could see the drop in the crowd as everyone stood there wondering what was going on, was there a streaker, a cat on the pitch, no car is taking ten minutes to see if the ball made contact with a defenders finger nail before it went out for a throw. Great stuff
I think he might well have been level. Though I think the cross was intended for Milner cutting in from the left.
Hendo had a very good first half. Did nothing in the second. Exactly the same as our team performance. Coincidence?
Definitely a yellow, how you can watch that over and over and think oh **** it just play on is beyond me. It's the issue with var, the games gone on, how can you stop it and bring it back to a decision three minutes ago for a challenge the player probably doesn't remember making
Ref was ok, didn't get everything right but who could? I think he's one of the better ones on CL games
I think it was meant for milner, it was a great ball and great run. Again though with var, unless you've got some tec in the ball and some sort of motion capture on the players that is to close to call. If it finished nil nil I'd be going nuts over the offside
Well lookie there. City can lose games after all. Hopefully Spurs will now win their league game against City too.
I agree was yellow but cannot agree on the ref And linos They got so many things not just opinion wrong just factually wrong The first Porto substitution - just before it the Porto player clearly kicked the ball out and throw was given to Porto This happened at least ten times on corners goal kicks and throws There was one where hendo got fouled defo yellow ref saw it and give chat There was one where think firmino got fouled on edge of box Great free kick position ball went to salah who had four men around him and ref played advantage Like I say loads of really poor decisions Ftr he is normally a good ref - agree Just thought he had a really poor night No damage - he defo wasn’t a homer ref which is prob what we will end up with at their place
Jürgen Klopp on Jordan Henderson: "He's a brilliant player. I’m happy he showed that again. He likes the position obviously - it was my fault that for one-and-a-half years he played as a No.6. Sorry! But we needed him there. A really good performance with brilliant passes"
He's been great in the last two games. Only time will tell if it's a positional thing. Milner was superb at the start of the season but average since
