Disagree on the medals part because this is about ability and form alone. Being part of the best PL team in history will give him a better chance to win medals, and that chance is not equal. VVD form this season makes him the best centre back in the world. Sterling’s numbers are impressive but are they are any different to what Salah does? Or even Mane for that matter. VVD is a better defender than sterling is an attacker.
Anyone with above average pace could do what Sterling does in that City side, and ever since moving to City no big club has bothered to try to buy Sterling because it's obvious he isn't the difference maker Van Dijk is the best CB in the world and top 5 of all footballers

If it's for the best player/ player that's made the biggest difference then vvd wins hands down. Im not sure why everyone suddenly thinks sterling is a world beater, he's an above average attacker in a world class side, his figures aren't astonishing.
tbh they are better this season than either salah or mane. I wouldn't deny anything you've said about vvd. but I just think we don't like sterling so don't give credit where it's due. It'd be a bit silly if the of a have sterling the award when he just has 2 cup.medals and vvd leads lfc to a league and cl double they are inclined to vote on these awards too early and have the awards before the season is done..
