Reading - What was different?

So what was the difference yesterday from previous games?

Reading are supposed to be one of the favorites to be top 6 this season though so far they appear to have a lot to prove.

The difference for us is that we're starting to get our new boys much fitter, and they're gelling much more. The team worked very well together, solid, strong, keeping their shape, getting on with the job and not letting anything get them flustered. They looked good . It's been coming, we haven't played a bad game yet, we just couldn't find the win...i think we're up and running now .

Reading didn't get much of a look in to be honest. I think, on that form, they'll struggle this season...on the form we showed, we won't .

Pleased for SD if things are turning the corner for him but we all know in this league anything can happen from one week to the next

i know...sometimes we can look through yellow tinted specs ...but...it was hugely positive yesterday, i'm still smiling!

 

Your comments remind me a little of the Ipswich board following their 2-1 win over Leeds. Monday morning was a much better experience etc then they were poor at Blackpool yesterday and they are all on the war path again

Ah yes, but we're going to have a great season ...that's the difference lol. We don't expect to win every game, but winning away is a fab feeling

 

Need more like it sounded as if the final ball was a lot more accurate than of late as well which is very encouraging!

TC I think the expectation levels are a little different between Ipswich and us , we always knew this season will be a struggle after the upheavals in the summer!

 

My son posted that on YouTube. His first full season on his own and a season ticket holder , go on lad !

 

You are probably right in what you say but why their expectations should be so high I have no idea. They have been an average Championship team for a good few years now and look no better on paper or grass than they have done ever since they came down to this level.

Us Canaries keep trying to tell them to not expect miracles but they wont listen, we are just WUMS
