Poll to close the Politics Thread

Personally, I think it’s better to have the vast majority of all the arguing confined to one thread. Then if you don’t want to get involved, don’t go there. Simple as.

If it’s closed the arguments will just start to infest other threads, as we’ve seen when threads on related topics are opened.

Brb won't tackle the actual issue of spamming due to his allegiance to Pete so in true Brb fashion he finds it easier to throw the baby with the bathwater.

I don't mind the Politics thread...people like talking politics...if you don't like it then don't go on it.

The issue is Spamming...it's like advertising for free on your forum. You won't tackle that and it sets a very bad precedent.

I'm not the type to put anyone on ignore...I understand the odd person being on ignore though. However to have 90% of the people who will debate your point, on ignore just smacks of cowardice and trolling. You shouldn't let your political stance influence your modding of this site.


You should ban Pete from the Politics thread...he adds nothing but links...then hides behind the ignore button. How anyone can not cringe at the thought of another man being that weak is beyond me.

 

If someone lets the Hull board know about this poll then I can see "Keep It Open" getting an overwhelming majority.

Remember how you culled Matthews threads due to the frequency of them? It was the right move then...you know the right move now or you make yourself look like you have some kind of hidden agenda for allowing your forum to be the Daily Mails Twitter sister account.

Am I saying Skiddy is the problem on the politics thread? No because as much as what he posts is weak Gammony **** at least he responds and engages and allows responses
