Thought I'd quote it again just so it carried on to the next page. Pukki and Buendia scored 8.9 for their goals and assists, but for Trybull to score that high without those is quite exceptional. Zimbo would have been up there as well if QPR had given him more to deal with.
From MB's 6 points about the match: "Norwich City have lost three fewer games than anyone else – three of them coming in the first five games; or seven more goals scored than anyone else. Or two more wins. The points tally isn’t bad either. Indeed, the much-heralded and hugely expensive Wolves side of last year scored their 82 goals over 46 games; City have done it with six to spare and about a tenth of the budget. Dig a little deeper and even City’s questioned defence has now kept 13 clean sheets – only four clubs have managed more. City’s run of eight successive wins in all competitions equals their club record in League One, making this their best run in the top two tiers. It’s also 30 years since City named eight unchanged XIs on the spin. And I haven’t even mentioned Teemu Pukki yet." Our record over the last 35 matches is phenomenol. Buendia's 3 match ban has been confirmed: https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/norwich-city-poll-emi-buendia-suspension-1-5983516 Unfortunate and unnecessary as it is, the ban will at least protect him from serious injury against Reading and Sheffield Wednesday at home and Wigan away and he'll be available, if required, for Stoke and Villa away and Blackburn at home. It also allows Leitner, Vrancic or Cantwell to get back into the squad.
That's a fair point. I think Vrancic and Leitner have shown enough that they'd be in a Prem squad, but I'm not sure Cantwell has. Should he get the nod, it's his chance to play his way into next season's squad picture, or out on loan. Given he's the only real wide cover we have, I suspect it'll be a position that gets attention this summer.
He's out of contract this summer, but the club have a 12 month option. Klose is also out of contract this summer, I should imagine in the case of both players the club are happy to wait until the end of the season to sort things out. Klose certainly seems relaxed about his contract situation, despite him having a proper cliff edge. Pinto and Passlack being the other out of contract players, but I should imagine both will leave. Supposedly Dortmund are happy with the Passlack loan despite his negligible playing time, but I can't see that being extended. Pinto was told in January he could leave.
Good man JM. I banged the drum on here for the Jan and Feb vote, but I have missed this. Let's get this done as well guys!
Klose's contract may be waiting for promotion to be certain so he's sure of PL football and the club is sure it can afford his wages. On Buendia I've already voted.
Klose can't even get Championship football. He should be looking that that rather than thinking about the Premiership
Yes but when Ole Gunnar 'swoops' for Ben Godfrey for £15m there'll be a niche in defence he can have.
Rumour Control - Aarons to Spuds for around £20M!! I don't see it happening myself and fully expect ALL of our 'youn' gugun to still be at CR in September.
Arrogant? Deluded?? Insane??? You decide. LUFC Worldwide@LUFC_WorldWide We get the pressure of being Leeds but also the problem of being almost everyone’s biggest game. We need to get out of this league.
