From Ian Clarke's article - And yet, incredibly, despite that ability to fight, we’re the only Championship side without a league red card. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...-fairy-tale-of-beauty-and-the-beast-1-5975293
Great article about Buendia's development in Spain. I especially liked this: "The fruits of his improvement can now be seen at Norwich. Farke has repeatedly praised Buendia's work-rate this season and his defensive efforts are borne out by the numbers. According to Opta, he has made 83 tackles in total - 25 more than any of his team-mates. Buendia has learned how to keep his cool at key moments, too. He is Norwich's most fouled player, with opponents frequently adopting rough tactics to throw him off his game, but he has shown impressive maturity - not least during the 3-0 win over local rivals Ipswich in February, when he was kicked repeatedly by blue-shirted defenders." Well worth a read: ://www.skysports.com/football/news/11709/11674055/emi-buendia-could-be-the-next-big-thing-with-norwich-but-he-was-shaped-by-relegation-in-spain
Max walked that. There is no player who could touch him. So relieved we didn't get screwed over again.
Teemu gets player of the season. Also, this makes for good reading: please log in to view this image Astonished at the size of the gap between Leeds and Sheffield Utd, but given the model relies on xG stats, perhaps not unsurprising. Boro given <20% chance of making the play-offs, that would have been unthinkable a few weeks ago.
Interesting, those charts are great visuals Well done Pukki and Aaron’s, well deserved. And Lewis too for being in the team of the season. Interestingly I noticed Cameron McGeehan was in the League One team of the season for Barnsley. Remember him and the FA youth cup victory?!! He was excellent that day. Sadly I think Barnsley are going to struggle to get promoted so he may well continue playing at League One level.
Jamal made the Championship team if the season, but missed out on the EFL team of the season to James Justin of Luton Town. ?
Absolutely!! MASSIVE kudos to DF, his coaching staff and of course the rest of the team. Anyone know the last time one team collected two awards in the same season???
