Well I'll respectfully disagree with just about all of that. SLF and Hoos have been working to make thus club sustainable post FFP. The managerial appointments have been taken above his head. We've seen more young players come through under SLF's watch than in many years and it's just managers failing their remit to play them more. I personally think the next manager should be Les choice and if it goes tits up then he can carry the can. My opinion we've needed someone like Les to counter the sheer bloody lunacy of TF.
Fair play. The question was based on the fact that technically he is still under contract and could (I think) come back without any new deal. Not saying he would.
Just goes to show the total ineptitude of the decision-makers at this club. We’ve been a joke ever since Fernandes first acquired the club and I see little changing whilst the usual suspects are still involved. The year we won the Championship title we were still owned by Tango & Cash. I find myself sometimes wishing for a bit of that again. It soon passes, but you know what I mean...
I wouldn't say SLF is the problem or one of the problems however I do know when he came in we were just outside the relegation places in the Premiership & its been largely one way down since so in certainly no way a successful stint. I do believe they all aim to improve the club & be successful but from TF all the way down have failed in that task & for that reason I would like new owners & a complete clear out of management to start from scratch again without any baggage.
I agree 100%. He was a great player in his day and still should be a respected figure around the club. However, After all that has happen over a sustained period of time, he along with others should be politely removed from the system. That only solves part of the problem. The owners and their ill managing of everything QPR is the other half of the equation. People might not like what l say but these people have stuffed our club in every which way they can. Sell us and move on please. We fans deserve better................ oh and TF, you can keep your training facility and place it right up your proverbial. How you run a business is beyond many of us. I take offence to imbeciles who have bastardise our club through total incompetence. Right then, I think l've gotten it all of my chest. Rant over.
Do we think we are a good prospect for a new owner? If the current owners want out then presumably we might be a bargain for someone. However, doesn't the FFP agreement the us to these owners for at least 10 yrs? On a related note, now that all legal objections to Warren Farm have been exhausted, why hasn't work started? I think we have to be careful what we wish for. We wanted Flag and Bernie out and look where we are now! Wish we knew - as per The Four Year Plan - why the declined to sell to Amit and Co.
RTID, I think we may be a good prospect to a potential buyer. We are the opposite to peaking although we could fall further. We are a London club right next to the big boys .... Chelsea etc. That may assist us in being ripe for the pickings. Throw in Loftus Road and yes, we certainly are a project but l'm sure an astute buyer would want to pay less and get us at a respectable figure, as opposed to buying, say Arsenal and alike. We need an Everton type of owner who will spend some coin but certainly not a Harry to stuff us. Yes, l have considered some pros and cons but with our current lot, we are being conned as we speak. Anyway, just my two bobs worth from a frustrated supporter...... a sober one at that.
I think I agree but I think that's what I thought when we were taken over both by Flav and TF. When will we ever get luck with a Levi type owner?
Colin May get sacked soon anyway Sod it get him back Get Adel back and we go again ... part deux Just imagine the lift we would get Plus evens he would get us up again NW would go for that a chance to show TF how bad he is/was running a football club
I'm sorry I disagree with anyone who thinks SLF and Hoos are a problem. To me they are the saving grace, who save us from the excesses of TF....I hope that Amit taking over might be good too... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Maybe not Hoos, but, if as everyone says Les has no influence over who the manager is, is unable to establish a clear approach to football throughout the club, and cannot get the strategy of playing younger home grown players in the starting line up adhered to, I’m beginning to suspect that he is simply window dressing, a bit of PR. Hoos might be managing the books better than in the past and instilling a sense of realism about the place, but what exactly is Les contributing? Amit is definitely window dressing, a chairman with a 10% stake, he doesn’t make the decisions.
I have nothing against SLF, I just think right now nothing should be off the table in terms of improving the club. It's not currently working so every area needs to be looked at. Maybe we need wholesale changes and complete rethink. Maybe SLF should be given a different title like Ledley King has at Spurs with an ambassadorial role.
I would expect that Hoos sets an overall budget for player transfers and wages and that it's Ferdinand's job to oversee/assist the manager in sticking to it - i.e Hoos sets the budget and Ferdinand manages it.
The Evening Standard are reporting Eustace will most likely remain in temporary charge at Millwall as nothing will be finalised by then. True or not I've no idea, but it seems more and more like we have sacked the Manager without having already lined up his successor. Criminal given our position and form.
They must have someone in line ? Maybe not then Hair island must of pushed the wrong buttons ... he has gone now so rejoice we can all hate him again
Seems like a redundant link in the food chain then. DoF makes sense when you have a coach rather than a ‘manager’. Surely he should also be setting transfer/loan (in and out), player development/progression, and football style, manager/coach succession planning strategy? Perhaps he does, and we are witnessing the results. If all he does is help manage the budget he’s just an assistant to Hoos, with a bigged up job title.
