But us finishing above them doesn't send them down?

As I say, they're in huge danger of finishing 17th. But not 18th. Not right now, any way.

If Cardiff lose to Brighton in midweek, then in my book the relegation race will be over.

^ this. Yet another manager the media love and for no apparent reason in this case. Everything he did to get Bournemouth to where they are now is fairly admirable, but the last couple of years seem to show he's reached a level of mediocrity that he's happy with, even though the club is actually well funded and has the set-up to improve.

No I agree entirely, but the more clubs below us the better, and Burnley seem to have wriggled out of danger today. It’s looking more and more like Cardiff will go down, I honestly can’t see how they’re going to get 6 points more than us with our respective run ins.

Hi fellas - you guys will be alright no matter what we do unless we achieve in the last six games what we haven't done in the first 32 - that's win three games away from home. Huge ask to come from this far back to overhaul anyone let alone you, but we still have to play Burnley and Brighton, both away - that's the lifeline.

Despite their win today against a pathetic Bournemouth performance that I watched online, Burnley have got a very tough last 4 fixtures. Also Brighton have yet to play Spurs away, also Arsenal and Man City as their last 2 - they could both finish below you. Massive games for us next weekeend and on Tuesday against Burnley and Brighton. Win either and we will be back with a shout with games against Fulham and Palace still to play.

Best of luck under RH next season. <ok>

Sparky. If we beat Wolves next week, I'll be cheering you on in the remaining games. Would prefer Brighton or Burnley to drop.

Colin's got a contract until June 2020 and the feeling is he'll see it out. His tactics can be a bit prehistoric but he gets a lot out what is a very poor squad by Premeier league standards.

Most of us believe we need a change of direction but if we are back down in the Championship next season as looks likely, I wouldn't want anyone else to try to get us back up. <ok>

Bloody hell, that was sloppy from B'mouth.
Their season is officially over. Beach time. (nice beach to be fair!)

Without their good first half of the season they would've been in big trouble...

Eddie Howe has aged a bit recently! He's not sleeping well at all!

But equally, without that good first half of the season, would they have downed tools at Xmas like they have? They've had nothing to play for months now. I said that to so many of my Bmouth supporting friends and colleagues, when they were on cloud nine after about 12 games this season. Their season was only ever going to go one way, due to securing safety so early.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they're good enough to be a top half team. Since getting promoted they have absolutely punched above their weight. And they've never been particularly good defensively. But they're better than what they've been delivering up for some time now. With nothing to play for though...

I find Alex Scott in particular very annoying to listen to (attractive, mind).

Its like four minutes of sound bites followed by Ince trying to point out the obvious, while stuttering a lot. They really are the B team.

They've had seventh place to play for which was good enough to get Burnley in the EL.

I'll always remain very dubious as to how much of a motivation that actually is (especially for Eddie, who has never shown any interest in the cups). It was very different for Burnley last season - they wrapped up 7th place pretty early (I think they went 9 games without a win at about this stage of last season, and still easily hung onto 7th).

Yes it's a motivation of sorts. But is it greater than CL? Or survival? I don't think so. Other than probably Fulham, Huddersfield, West Ham, and Leicester under Puel, I'd say everyone has had a greater motivation since Xmas than Bmouth.
