Since Westy is still AWOL and the club have announced that the game is in doubt, it's time to do this. Typical of our luck that a team that we may not get the opportunity to face a side that hasn't trained for 48 hours. Sounds like our best chance of Championship survival may be for two more clubs to go the same way in the final stages of the season. At the risk of sounding all Brexit again, does anyone know what happens to the points / if Bolton don't fulfil their final fixtures? It could upset the whole league table. COYB
We’ve two hopes this Season.Bob Hope and no hope! Just typical of our luck though isn’t it? If/when the game goes ahead I predict 2-1 Town win, whoopee!!
I'm going to predict 1-1 Just looking at it - if Bolton DID have their results wiped then it would help West Brom and Derby who have failed to take 6 points off them and the relegation places would be a bit of a blood bath with Millwall benefiting the most and Blackburn and Swansea getting dragged into the mire.
Looks like they will be put into administration before the season is over.. And I think talk of them folding and being unable to fulfill their fixtures is unlikely as they'll find some way of muddling through for 7 more matches. What then happens in the Summer could be more telling and set the club back decades, but it'd been an absolute dogs dinner for the past couple of years that seems to all be coming to a head now. There is a possibility of the game being played behind closed doors as they are not allowed supporters in the ground, so could still go ahead but who knows.. Embarrassingly, with all their issues they still sit 8 points clear of us and even with a points deduction could still finish above us this season
I am sure I heard on the radio yesterday, that the points deduction will be given at the start of next season. not sure if this is because they are almost relegated now ?
Morning Redruth, it was more in terms of not being able to fulfil fixtures. It may be unlikely but I'm sure you can be thrown out of the Football League altogether for that?
Predictably, Bolton have been given an extension to settle their debts which is 3 days after the last game of the season. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47500131 So they will finish the season, then either be bought by some charlatan that has already been bankrupt twice (and banned from Football ownership) or they'll go into administration and start next season on -15 points.
Need to win this so we go into Summer with more hope, keep our best players that we can, and attract one or two really good signings. Easy up next season!
I say again, I have enjoyed following Town last few weeks, gives us real hope for the months ahead. So important for all the fans who keep travelling on the road!
