Completely agree. I have emailed Sky Sports my complaint and there are a number of others on there including his commentary on the recent Liverpool v Spurs game.
I thought we played well last night. Good effort against the best in the league. With a bit more quality we would have got a result. Bodes well for the future if we stay up and ralph brings a couple of 1st team standard players in.
It’s not just about fitness though. The difference in quality ensured that we had to work a lot harder than they did just to stay in the game, and you can’t sustain that for 90 minutes, it will take a toll eventually.
I noticed VvD exchanging warm handshakes with Sims and JWP after the game. Players have a completely different perspective to fans.
I noticed that at the time, Sadio have him a friendly nudge... good to see that mid heat of the game. Sadio has always had that cheeky side to him. Seems a decent chap and showed again last night at times, what a good footballer he is.
The difference in quality reflected the result, but why can we only last 75 minutes at that intensity? Seems arbitrary to say we can do it for 75 then falter. There are peaks and troughs in every match which mean you’re not doing 90 minutes intensely but we seem prone to lapses.
Mitrovic from Fulham but probably very expensive?? Carney from Fulham?? Who is the Huddersfield striker who did well last season but not shown so much this year? Thoughts??
No teams, even the best, keep that intensity up for 90 minutes. As said by others, when you have the best quality, it’s easier to make your moments count when the opponent has a lapse. I have no criticism for the lads last night... Apart from Pelle, he did too many silly flicks when he should have held it up.
Dont think Mitrovic is Ralph's sort of player at all. Any forward players we bring in are likely to be agile, young and fast.
Rafa was quite honest as to why he sold Mitrovic. He acknowledged Mitrovic's ability to score, but said he needed someone who would put a shift in for him each game - and Mitrovic simply wasn't that player.
Im just hoping we go back in for Che Adams and that our interest in january puts us ahead of competition. He is going to be brilliant and suits Ralph perfectly
