top night all round saw another band earlier in a a near by pub - black roots didn't play till 10. good weather over in brizzle, atmosphere over in the old part of city really laid back everyone outside the bars/pubs/boats just up and out for a good night.
Roots did an hour and half set, the crowd were bouncing and it all get hot & sweaty.

And Liverpool lose completely gracelessly. Good old Ken, can someone bookmark this one next time someone bleats out the tired old cliche that uncle Kenny is ALWAYS the sportsman and our Fergie always loses with bad grace? Where the **** is that **** KPR when you need him?

Yeah, yeah, you won really. It's just the ref didn't see it the way you saw it.

Interesting to see how all managers are perfectly gracious sportsmen when everything's going their way, but when the going gets tough they all come out with the same excuses about the referees...

Personally I thought the Delap one was a penalty, as was the Carragher one, but not the Upson one. But then Liverpool have no one to blame but themselves for the loss - regardless of what happened with the penalties, the misses by Henderson and Suarez were absolutely shocking, and Bellamy and Downing should've done better with their headers. In the overall scope of things, it's not going to affect whether or not Liverpool get a top 4 spot, but games like that are the ones you have to learn to win if you are going to win the title.

Really? I was under the impression Sir Alex was the only Manager in history to ever question a referee following defeat and that Dalglish was the perfect gentleman and an example of dignity to us all.

Oh you're right, I forgot. Also, apparently SAF is also the only manager to ever complain when his goalkeeper doesn't get any protection from referees as well... <doh>

Thanks Ze. Apparently he may have broken his metatarsal. Still, at least that will make him the next Beckham ;)

Yeah, he looks like a class act. With a bit of luck we'll have someone come through similar (but a bit more defensive) soon, Coady :).

I feel incredibly aggrieved at the Stoke scoreline today! If we beat the Spuds next week then it'll all have been forgotten though.

How awful were Arsenal again today? Swansea absolutely gifted wrapped that victory for Arsenal and delivered it on a silver platter.

If Arsenal continue to play like that they will struggle to survive relegation!

Let's face it, if anyone on this forum would set up a new account and not admit it, it's KPR isn't it?
Probably noticed just how many users have got his silly comments in their sigs.

Be fair mate. Had Stoke beat us in the fashion they did last year at the Britannia, there'd be no complaints from anyone. The fact is (and this isn't a slur against Stoke, who simply did what they needed to win) they got round the back of us on only one occasion, got a penalty and scored. That was their job done. Admittedly we shouldn't have to rely on the ref and the linesmen to get their decisions correct, but it was one of those games where did everything but score (a bit like Arsenal sometimes) and on at least one occasion we were let down by poor decisions by the officials.
Kenny wasn't critical of Stoke, as other managers have been, but of the officials. Surely you can see where his frustration comes from? Certainly if your lot had lost in a similar fashion, I wouldn't be critical of SAF if he complained afterwards.

If we play like that every week we'll win most games. We move on.

It is a compliment. To pick a random that has nothing to do with your club and adopt it as your club anthem is a fine achievment.

You all go on about that fecking song but what is the big deal with it? It's not as though it's written by a Liverpool fan or is in any way about your club.

    Get over it.

Funny considering it's rival fans who seem to think we have a pact with the Devil.................and the FA, Uefa, Referees, The Government, God etc.

No, the point was Manchester is like Hell...a joke, if you will.
The fact is, Busby decided to rebrand United after the crash. There is no historical link behind Manchester and the Devil.
The reason Liverpoll sing YNWA is because Jerry and the Peacemakers, a Liverpudlian group, did a version of it in the 60s and it caught on with the fans.
So, you question our song, I question your crest.

We don't go on about the Devil on our crest or our nickname "The Red Devils" like it's some amazing achievement that should have people in awe.

    Neither do we...
It's become our club song, and when most people hear it today they think of Liverpool and it was on TV earlier, which a few of us have pointed out.
That's the long and the short of it.
