The latter I'd say. Most probably already know their time is up so any chance they get on the pitch they'll wanna impress potential suitors.

Nah. Nowhere near the player he was. Wouldn't be any more effective than a fit Lamela nowadays.

I'd take the three from Fulham if they were dirt cheap. £40m-£50m for the lot. They initially wanted £50m for Sessegnon though so I doubt my valuations would go down too well.

True but the experience he could bring to the training ground. The guy has more or less won everything there is to win. We sorely lack players with that winners mentality; blokes who can stand up in the dressing room and instead of saying 'let's believe we can do this', they can say 'I have done this, and this is how'.

If he would be willing to take a pay cut and accept a bit part role, I wid. Seems like a thoroughly nice bloke and potential coach material too.

Never going to happen though this isn't the kind of signing Levy goes for.

Trippier and Aurier out, AWB in would suit me. KWP then becomes backup. KWP is at an age now where we either need to play him or sell him this summer.

Sissoko is a strange one, probably winning our POTY but as you've said, his value will be at it's highest, three years into a five year deal and is 29. Realistically how much longer can his style of play go on for someone going into their 30s? It's not like he's a Pirlo/ Iniesta/ Modric that can continue playing at an elite level as a playmaker, he's all about pace and power and eventually at least one of those fades. I'd rather keep him, but if an offer that was too good came in, I'd understand selling him.

    Vertonghen - **** off, Standard.

    Toby and Eriksen - Inevitable.

Rose I'd only sell if we're getting someone like Chilwell.

    The rest... Meh, laters.

Great player and consummate professional but not sure he's one of those leaders we desperately lack. I think he's similar to Llorente, he's also won a load of stuff but neither player is really known for their leadership qualities.

We need someone who's got a bit of bite about them as well as being a top player. Give me a Ramos/ Chiellini type any day of the week.

If Eriksen's definitely buggering off and we've got a young protege in mind for the long-term, then I'd say yes.
He has a lot of very similar attributes to Eriksen, including his dislike for the physical aspects of the game.
Being able to stick a direct replacement in and not having to worry about him adjusting to the league would be very handy.

Speaking of young protégés, it sounds like Marcus Edwards has finally discovered how to be professional. People at Excelsior have apparently been very happy with him and he’s even been doing after hour training sessions.

There might just be hope for him at Spurs if word gets back to Poch (which it will have done).

Reportedly Fulham are willing to accept £40m for Sessegnon in a Buy One Sessegnon Get One Free deal, although Steven is a bit of an unknown quantity outside of PL2 (but then again, I've not been impressed by Brooklyn Lyons-Foster or Tariq Hinds when I've seen them play, so he'd probably be a better prospect than either)

I've also remembered that Alfie Mawson plays for Fulham and might be worth a look...

Still think that’s too much, even if it is a BOGOF deal.

Talented yes but you need to show that talent in the Prem, which he hasn't, if you’re to warrant a £40m price tag.

Would hate to see Spurs pay that much on a player that we don’t currently need right now.

£40m likely bags us Wan-Bissaka or Chilwell. Possibly Ndombele (or a large portion of his fee).

Mawson’s a no from me too. Last summer I’d have taken him but with two consecutive relegations on his CV, albeit not solely his fault, isn’t really too appealing. 25 now as well, he should be at a higher level than that. They’ll cost a shed load more but if we’re to go down the English CB route to replace Toby, Maguire or Keane would get a thumbs up from me, especially Slab Head.

Ndombele's agent is quoting £72m - which begs the question how much of that would be covered by Sissoko heading in Lyon's direction? If he covers £20m, and with his season and recall to the France squad it's not unrealistic to claim that, if that were possible signing Ndombele would become a realistic proposition

I think on this season alone, we’d atleast recoup Sissoko’s fee that we paid the geordies. He’s had an immense season, the only thing that’s gone against him, just as it did with Mousa 1, is that neither contribute(d) enough goals or assists.

£80 mill for Dybala once we sell Eriksen for 60 and Toby for 25

If you'd said that about 8 months ago I'd have laughed and called you deluded for thinking Dybala would leave Juve for us.

But now, there could be a genuine chance. Been massively outshone by Ronny and hasn't hit the heights of previous seasons because of that. He might wanna look at a new chance to shine elsewhere and the Prem is always one of the first things on a player's mind. Would have to likely battle the likes of Utd and Pool for him who I think have been linked in the past but with the new stadium and (hopefully) CL football, there might just be a chance, plus we've got a few Argies who could hopefully have a word.

Surely he would go for more than that, plus Juventus are one of the biggest and most successful sides in Europe, why would he leave them to join Spurs?

Pogba went for £90m and I’d say he was more valuable to Juve than Dybala.

FWIW I don’t think we’ll sign him as I doubt Juve will want to sell, despite his below-par season, but should they decide to cash in on him, I think that’s the type of player Spurs should at least try and target, we all talk of reaching the next level, that’s a player who’d help us to do so.

He's not getting in the team
When he does he's being played out of position to accommodate Ronaldo
His form has only been bad due to a lack of game time
    He's Argentinian

Will only cost around £10 mill tops with the other fees thrown in...let's do this!

Just heard he has changed his name by deed poll to Osvaldo Ricardo Dybala.
Dunno what that means though ...

He’s an elite player - and funnily enough everything we wanted Lamela to be and more. I’d have reservations about his ability to adapt to the English football schedule though (mainly the attritional nature of it) the culture and language. But I’m sure that can all be worked out.

Plus the fact that like Lamela, we don’t quite have a spot for a right-sided attacking mid/winger who likes to come inside, given the way we currently play. If he could click with Kane and Son we could play all three of them in a narrow front 3 like Liverpool do with theirs, but I think we look better with Kane central, Son in a free role on the left, and a pacy right-sided winger who can stretch the game with width and still provide a threat on goal himself, like Lucas does in his one or two games a season when he looks 100% on it.

If we’re going to spend megabucks on a player this summer I’d rather it was an absolute top tier CB to replace Toby, or a CM to play the Dembele role.
