Agree, I also think clubs are hiding behind the ruling authorities hollow promises. This situation is far worse in Europe especially in NE Europe although the Italians seem to be the worst.
I don't think UEFA care that much about racism abroad. Otherwise they wouldn't have awarded the Euros to Poland and Ukraine given the amount of racism on the terraces there prior to the tournament.

Tbh i pretty much think identity politics is pathetic. Sure racism is bad but so is picking on the fat or ugly kid. Any discrimination is probably as bad as each other, especially for those with low self esteem.
That’s a different form of selective abuse. The abuse of black peoples is of a whole race, for no other reason than their skin colour.
I've been there. Being picked on is being picked on. You may get more people picking on you (racism) cause it's more overtly clear but i wouldn't consider one worse than the other
Bit of a tangent. I recently saw a James Corden article where he was going on about how fat people aren't used in romantic roles on screen often... No one loves a fatty etc., Etc. ... Bit of a hypocrite though, first thing he did when he became rich and famous was marry a skinny lady.
I think the feeling is that the vast majority of fat people ( like Saxton, for instance) are fat because they’re too lazy to do anything about it.
It's not that different. It's equally mindless. Bashing people for being ugly is not that different to bashing people for being black. You're bashing them for something meaningless that they had no control over. Weight might be slightly different since most people can control their weight, but even then, some people get fat even when they eat moderately healthy. (Yeah, most people get fat from.being sedentary and eating crap... But not all)
I suppose in the case of ugly you’re right. I just don’t see too many people getting abused for being ugly. In fact if they’re footballers we all tend to take this piss and laugh about it. Millions of black people are abused every day.

This is where im going to have to disagree (unless we are talking about the world). And this is where i think society is also making assumptions. Someone abusing a black person isnt necessary because hes black, it could be because hes a knob. If it was a black person in texas redneckville or say tommy robinsons backyard, its probably racist. In the uk, i dont think millions of people are abused everyday and if they are, i would be doubtful if it was purely because they are black
Millions, you’re probably right. I overdid it a bit trying to get the point across. If a guy is a dick then the abuse should be directed towards that point. Once you resort to using the word ‘black’ in your epithet, which you’ll find is more often than not the case, it then becomes racial abuse. Black players on a football pitch are abused for no other reason. Just as many are off a pitch.
Thats the thing I'm getting at. Its racist abuse and agreed it should be stamped out. Where i disagree is that people are abusing people just because they are black which ive interpretef about your statement being that millions of black people are being abused is about. Having been on the end of racist abuse myself, its **** but tbh normal abuse is just as ****. It really does depend on how violent/how many people are laughing at you/who is laughing at you etc. Lucky for me its only ever been verbals
People are certainly less vitriolic against ugly people. You don't see people plotting to shoot gathered ugly people.
