Just tried to place a bet for Ings to score and Saints to win but they wouldn't allow it. See, even the bookies know that this one has already been decided.
If the boot was on the other foot, I wouldn’t be either; standard football fan pessimism. Whereas, having nothing much to lose, I’m strangely confident about tonight. That’ll probably last all of ten minutes after kick-off.
I'm not confident about our chances of getting anything from the game. But I am relaxed about the game, because a loss is expected and doesn't change anything for us. This is a basically a bonus game.
There is a huge incentive for Ralph and the team though if we can win as we will be virtually safe IMO.
Oh I fully expect the team to be fired up and to give it their all to get something from the game. I've no doubt Ralph will be going for the win. But we're still 5 points clear of relegation if we lose thanks to recent results. We need 2 wins and a draw from our last 7 games to get to 40 points which is likely to be more than enough. This is our most difficult remaining game, on paper at least. Obviously I'd love us to get something tonight, but I'll be relaxed if we lose.
I don`t get how some Saints fans can expect we`ll get totally humped tonight. I can always figure out a logic in my tiny mind as to how we`ll get something from any game, especially a home game. So 1:1 tonight !
