I didn't say MP's don't lie,I said lied to police ( whilst trying to pervert the course of justice.) You also didn't mention the fact she was convicted and even wears an ankle tag!
Certainly not the sort of person I want in Parliament.

She should have lost here seat.

In reality if she was suspended the tradition would be the other side mirror her vote and drop one.

That would be the right thing

may has requested 30th June extension.

    why?

so has been clear enough.. it won't wash.

are we close to.anything between her and labour or nowhere?

We have til 10th to go back to eu summit with something just to get to 22nd may.

asking again to go to 30th June seems to me to be may still not wanting European elections and hints that shes still on her deal or no deal buzz.

I see no reason to have one whole more month. surely if the withdrawal.deal is no good then it's a year not a month.

has she jumped the gun here?

will this be the excuse for corbyn to jump.out of these talks?

If you read the letter she’s left the door wide open for them to come back and say no, offer a 12 month extension as suggested already by Tusk, with a get out clause should we ever agree anything. As she references the European elections and the cut off for us to declare our participation.

Dunno if anyone has seen that interview of Mogg by O'Brien on LBC. JRM is STILL quoting Minford as some sort as guru, even when O'Brien quotes him as admitting that WTO terms would destroy UK industry and agriculture. Mogg is just an ignorant hick's idea of a clever aristocrat.

Mogg is a self serving bullshitter. Nothing more, nothing less. Always has been, he got reprimanded years ago for failing to disclose his investments in fossil fuel and tobacco after speaking in the House in their defence on Bills relating to those sectors. He’s now a student of Bannons, nuff said.

She knows what’s coming with that request, so her words are nothing more than window dressing.

Corbyn needs to stand firm on the confirmatory referendum. Even if that means he agrees to the withdrawal agreement as it stands.

He is absolutely an ignorant hick's idea of a clever aristocrat. But the reality is he's a political amateur - he gets caught out and out-manoeuvred at every turn. He got played by May (the mess that is Theresa May) in prematurely calling a vote of no confidence thereby giving her complete free reign throughout the WA, and he bottled it to vote for a deal he claimed would make us a vassall state and then changed his position back again. He's no Francis Urquhart that's for sure, more like Tim Nice But Dim.

Labour won but I didn't know what to make of it. I posted this on the other thread..

It was a very low turnout but analysis of the result at the time suggested Tories lost Brexit votes to UKIP and Labour lost Remain votes to parties that want a confirmatory or people's referendum. It was only a 30% turnout and a by-election but interesting nonetheless.

I've just applied to be in the audience on Question Time in Warrington on 2nd May. If I get in the audience they'd better pray Rees-Mogg isn't on the panel. I'll keep you posted.............................................<laugh>

Brexiteer outrage as Brussels demands a 12-month 'flextension': Tusk says moving UK's departure back a YEAR is 'only sensible way out' - as PM 'reluctantly' asks for extension to June 30

That adds more weight to the view that some politicians even those in the cabinet have either no understanding of the realities of Brexit or are thick as two planks or both. It is reported that many hard Brexiteer cabinet members such as Liz Truss, Barclay and Fox are threatening to resign unless May asks for a short deadline. Don’t they realise that the length of any extension granted to Britain is solely within the gift of the EU? May can beg as much as she wants for a short term but the EU will just grant a longer flexible term of 12months. May and her hard line Brexiteers have been trying to create an artificial cliff edge deadline to put pressure on MPs. The EU have seen through this and are unwilling to play this silly political game. It has been clear for weeks now to anyone who understands this that May’s deal could only be voted through if MPs are under severe pressure of a cliff edge. Given time the deal is absolutely non viable.

This situation is an absolute farce. On the face of it the EU is trying to help May by giving as much time as needed and being flexible. But May don’t want them to be helpful. She wants them to be mean so that the MPs feel under pressure to agree to an unpopular deal. It is like I want my loan provider to give me an absolute deadline of a week to accept their loan offer just to put pressure on my builders to accept or else they lose the job. No time for them to revise the job.
