Very impressive from Kemboy - one of the best we've seen for a while at that age, hope he can stay sound

For sure. I thought he was nailed on for at least a place at Chelts, so helped myself to the 9-4 today. As Oddy says, that was very impressive.

Not sure - the Savills Chase is a fine race in its own right and he did alright there this season.

absolutely right.but with road to respect,he just didnt go through with his effort.maybe the slow pace was against him.

    aintree,3 25: AINTREE HURDLE

a similar story with MELON here.hes becoming something of a "nearly horse",but at least,he can be relied upon to run his usual honest race,so appeals as a solid e w alternative.

Kemboy being fresh was a big advantage.
RTR, CDO, BDM etc had a hard race at Chelters.

Henderson has pulled Brain Power and Verdana Blue (one assumes because of the going). Looks a slam dunk for BVD

Hes not a new kid after winning this year, hes obviously decent but I dont think hed have beaten Buveur Dair, race fell apart and he picked up the pieces.

Kemboy is lethal with a gifted lead but you dont get that in the King George or Gold Cup, id be strongly against him in those races.

I wasnt replying to you specifically, ive just thought for a while Kemboys tactical speed off a slow pace is his weapon in 3m chases, strongly run Gold Cup and King George id be against him but obviously a classy horse and they have to go for the King George.

Yep, they've spent too long looking at his official rating instead of what he has been doing on the track

Jumps racing all over, thats why I barely bother with it, 11yos pulling up, horses falling in front of you in Grade 1s, I didnt back BVD today but I done a few hundred on him at Cheltenham, sickening for anyone who backed him again. Can be a good spectacle but betting wise its far too unpredictable.

Stick to the flat!. :emoticon-0137-clapp. What you get in jumps racing is more excitement..races are more eventful and horses have to learn the skill of jumping. As opposed to flat racing where they run up a flat straight or round the course. Very boring in comparison!

Jumps racing is more popular than the flat for an obvious reason here in the U.K

It is worth bearing in mind that a mid 70s flat handicapper won a G1 there today.

spot on,mate!my thoughts too.ive been in this game very long, and i have far more specific memories on the jumps, than on the flat.i like flat racing, dont get me wrong, its very competitive, but with a gun to my head,i d always go for jumping;..

    aintree,4 05:FOXHUNTERS CHASE

hard to be too confident on BALNASLOW,after his no-show at cheltenham, but i quite like him on former exploits, also here,so maybe these fences make him alive again..the ability is still there surely..
