    Another (Evening) < Standard > attempted dig (I LOVE em !!! ) .
But on a scale of 1 to Ouch :

"The official attendance at the Emirates for Arsenal's 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday was 59,869 –
although the Gunners count tickets sold and Spurs count supporters through the turnstiles."

    :)

On the third point I used Northumberland Park for the first time ever to get home last night. Left bang on the final whistle and went straight there arriving around 9.50. Got on the 10.04 train and was in Liverpool St around 10.30. The platforms were numbered 3 and 4. The southbound platform is an island but everything seemed scheduled on the same side. I thought it went smoothly but people around me were complaining about the wait....

It's difficult to see segregation in a PL game v Palace accounting for more than 500 seats.

There's been some suggestion that certain corporate areas aren't at full capacity yet. I don't know if this is true?

The first 2 rows of seats weren't utilised at all - is that going to change? Are they just there for non-football usage?

How many allocated tickets weren't used?

It'll settle down and shake itself out in time. As long as we utilise every seat available, I'll be happy. Everything else is just hot air.

That is the club/TfL preferred route.

But it may be only for FT traffic (I am not sure how walking unfriendly
it is for the traditional pre-match gatherings in the High Rd pubs etc) .

Based on what Powerspurs is saying, it seems that the third platform
branch track is neither yet completed or used.

Don't make the mistake of going over the footbridge on the north side outside the station. You can't get in to the station on that side.

Wasn't having a personal pop SL. Just that there were numerous commentators - most away from here - who were highly critical of the development, even the concept of it.

The track is definitely there but I didn't see any trains on it. I just had a look at Google maps and the satellite and Street views are out of date. The level crossing is gone and the station has a large ramped bridge.

If it’s one of those with the ice and cold water dispensers attached then I’m going over with the van, mine’s dying. I’ll leave a life size cardboard cutout of Harry Winks in its place

It didn't even look like a flare. You'd expect a Palace one to be bright and either red or blue, but it just looked like smoke.
****ing moronic, especially given the occasion.

The normal Park Lane/Shelfside chants seemed to switch to Park Lane/Paxton at times last night.
It'll be interesting to see how this sort of thing develops as people get used to new seating arrangements.
I'm currently in the West lower and I think that some of those around me may take a while to get used to it... <whistle>

People from Croydon are now, as a rule, a bunch of ****ing idiots. Despite living in a beautiful area of the borough that I adored, I left to escape them.

Whenever there's a news story about something appalling and stupid, I always expect it to have occurred there.

A recent news story set out that mental illness in young people, resulting from teenagers using large amounts of skunk, has seriously spiked in South=East London. It doesn't suggest a very happy future in the next few years for the area.

There was a nice moment last night when Andros Townsend was warming up in the first half.

He got the usual round of applause and Yiddo shouts and then settled down into his routine of stretches and whatnot.
As Kane was lining up the free-kick from about 25 yards out or so, Andros stood and continued his warm up.
"Andros! Andros!", called one bloke til he got his attention, "Put your head down son, you're blocking the view!"
Not only did he take it in the intended spirit and give a smile and a thumbs up, but he actually did drop back to the ground! <laugh>

It's a shame that it didn't work out for him at Spurs, but it's always nice to see one of our academy players doing well for himself.

The Victoria pub. Very nostalgic.I always thought that me and my mates would retire and hold ourselves up at the bat there.Unfortunately, two have passed, one can hardly walk,I'm miles away and....bugger it....they shut the old Vic up a long while ago. Ahhh progress!!! But.....UP THE SPURS!
