    Thank gawd that’s over with.

How did Niasse miss that 1 on 1?

He has the touch of a chest of drawers.

Had that gone in there’d have been a grandstand finish<whistle>

Right then it’s our season in the next 2 games <yikes>

That lads was a gutless display that looked like the players are resigned to relegation.....

Or, a display aimed at conserving energy for the games in which we have a chance. And let's not forget that Man City are a reasonably good team that know how to handle gutsy teams. :emoticon-0100-smile

How is he ? , you weren't expected to win but can you say you tried to give them a game. No pressing and you allowed them to play, you were lucky that your keeper made some decent saves .

Taking into account the difference in standards there was not much else we could do. We had 3 players booked and really didn't need any red cards so no point in chasing shadows. They are a very, very good side.

4 of the next 6 games are winnable and it is common sense that we ensure our best 11 are available for these games.

You adopted different tactics for a one off cup game and nearly pulled it off.

I stand by my comment on Dull Dai and am more than a little surprised at your defence of him, taking into account the stick he gets on your site.

As I said you (and ourselves) were not expected to win but you have a substantial break between last night and maybe your season defining ? next game , Citeh are not renowned for being a dirty side so I really thought Warnock would have used the opportunity to show what his team could do , I just thought you surrendered procession easily .
I hasten to add the way we played against Citeh is basically how we've played this season . regarding Dai ,I surprised myself to be honest <laugh>

If there is any suggestion of a comparison between a FA Cup tie and a PL game then there isn’t one.

swansea were battered as much as City were last night. If Man City has put away their chances in both then they’d have got 6-7 in each game.

Last night reminded me of the swansea battering got in their first PL game.

"If there is any suggestion of a comparison between a FA Cup tie and a PL game then there isn’t one." What was the difference ? Both Clubs wanted to win the game both put out a strong side and both sides played to their strengths
Yes we were beaten 4-0, all goals coming in the second half after a first half where we matched them , can you honestly say you did ?
