Matip on the one thing Van Dijk does to all Liverpool players Joel Matip believes Liverpool team-mate Virgil van Dijk is so good that he has improved the rest of the squad. ‘He’s a great defender,’ Matip told Premier League Productions. ‘And being around him, I think everybody improves. He has had a big impact on the improvement. It’s great to play [with] him. He’s a complete defender and he knows what to do. ‘Every defender does things a little bit differently. You always need some time to really know each other. This is normal. I think we need this time in a good way and this is working most of the time quite well.’
one things for sure Southampton won t give up cos they need the points so we either have to match them or kill them with a 3 goal.margin 1 goal wont cut it imo.
BOTTOM OF THE PREMIERSHIP TABLE. 14. Newcastle 35 15.Brighton. 33 16.Southampton 33 17.Burnley 33 18.Cardiff 28 19.Fulham 17 R 20.Hudersfiield 14 R I do not think Southampton are going to be relegated, I think Cardiff are the club to be relegated except they win tonight.
I always felt like we were in control of games until we lost Gomez. With him and VvD at the heart of defence we looked assured. Not so since his injury but we’ve got over the line in most cases.
Got a mate who's a saints fan and I can honestly say he bears us no Ill will. It's not like we snook in unsettled the play and stole them for half their worth. **** me we've basically paid for their chairman's new yacht over the last few years, it's not our fault he's refused to spend the vast amounts we've paid them. In saying that he ****ing hates lala, he wouldn't piss on the lad if he was on fire.
You do realize we are playing teams who are fighting for their lives too. When we've played midtable comfortable teams we have played well. The problems is many times we are caught up in memories last season where we were so dynamic. Now teams sit back and challenge us to find a way through. The way we play is more controlled
West ham and Leicester. We have beaten the **** teams we led against these two and threw the league away with two draws. Whatever about away draws against "derby" rivals those two hurt our chances hugely. Our record is 7 draws and 1 loss. Or Chelsea City Arsenal West ham Leicester Utd Everton Loss to city. That's the reality. 3 away draws to top 4 rivals. 1 away draw to local derby rival, 5 points lost to city(huge hurt) and those one home draw and one away draw to mid table tosh. The thing is... would you give a title chasing team hardship over drawing away to direct rivals?? Or away to local derby? No for me we are behind after a season that should in any other year be called sensational title winning form.. simply because we let two poor sides get a draw when we were leading. And remember I'm saying 79 should be 83... and then we would be on for 100+ points.... city are just that damne d good. If city drop 2 points ill be delighted. If they drop more I will be shocked
