I have never been his biggest supporter but in many games this season he has played very well and today he was simply outstanding.

I was gutted when he got substituted aha!

I thought he is a very skillfull player and clearly is happy playing at the moment.

What does everyone else think?

COYR!

I myself have never been his biggest supporter, but his 1st half display was his best in a Saints shirt, and was simply superb however he did fade in the 2nd half

It all hangs on whether he can beat his man with a trick, if he fails to do so he becomes disheartened and drifts out of the game, but if he pulls it off he gains so much confidence and as we saw today will try anything!

He becomes lethargic about 70 minutes into games, hence why he's substituted a lot. Agreed though - he was very good in the first half.

To be fair i think he always looks a bit lethargic, just his style. He's bloody good at times but frustrating at other times,i deffo prefer to have him though! i'm a fan.

Spot on Adam, we had another player in our past that gave the impression of being lethargic, but would come up with moments of genius to make or score a goal out of nothing, i'm sure you know who i'm talking about. A football team is a balance, you need your water carriers to supply the likes of Guly and Lallana who will then create problems in the opposition's half. We have players with a good range of passing, energy and tackling in centre midfield, lets just appreciate the role that Guly plays for the team, which in my opinion is very valuable.

His flick for the 2nd goal was sublime.

Disagree about him not covering. When Forest broke from a Saints corner, he was our last covering player at one point and did well to force the forest player wide.

The fluidity of our front four is our biggest asset right now. No need to change it.

He always looks so calm, cool and relaxed when he's playing.

Was very good today :)

If it weren't for Lambert's hat-trick then Guly would've been my MOTM <ok>

guly has impressed me this season, i always thought he would make the step up

I've been a fan since around December. He has skill, strength, workrate and a great finish.

I love the man, hence my avatar.

I thought at times towards end of first half, that our forward fluidity caused us some problems. Lallana and Guly switched sides and roamed a little mord than usual and I thought in thd first half, either of them left Fox a little exposed (leave it Jen!) and Gunter (RB) had far too much space.

It has been so refreshing to read this thread as I have felt for a long time that Guly is as talented as Lallana but he is a confidence player and can fade. I fully agree with those who say his first half performance yesterday was excellent. He is a big man but is very light on his feet with supeb ball control. I was disappointed when he was substituted as it fed the moaners around me who berate him every game.
