I think Levy knows he has got no right to put pressure on Poch...Poch just has to turn around and say 'well back me then'

That's Levy back in his box. I think the little frustrated meltdowns and indirect lashing out by Poch that seem to have peaked recently is the normal reaction for someone who is inbetween a rock and a hard place.

This is what I meant to say just without the long-winded pontification and needless sportswear analogies. <applause>

We weakened at RB but strengthened at CB with the addition of Dave Sanchez. So the squad didn't essentially decline as a whole but it declined in one area whilst strengthening in another, so evened itself out. Plus we also signed Aurier who had just as good as a reputation as Walker but unfortunately has proven a poor signing.

We never actually missed Walker last season either. For all the stick - and rightly so - Trippier has got this season, he had a very good 17/18 but most just choose to ignore that.

This season has been completely different. Trippier has been poor, Aurier has been poor, Lloris has been poor, Winks has been poor, Dier has been so-so, Davies and Rose haven't reached form of previous seasons, Wanyama is useless, Lamela had a bright start but faded, Dembele's decline resulted in him becoming useless but we never replaced him... Too many problems hit us this season which have pushed the decline. We should have strengthened in the windows to help us relieve that pressure but we didn't and we've felt the effects.

RE Levy, the stadium helps us to strengthen going forward. There won't be any excuses from now if we don't strengthen as the added revenue from the new ground will allow us to pay competitive wages on a larger scale - something that's always held us back. Remember, Levy/ Lewis can't just chuck their own money into the personnel side of things, only the infrastructure, and so by improving the infrastructure that should essentially have a knock-on effect towards the personnel from now on. Levy himself has said "You can't be a big club with a 36,000 seater stadium", so that to me now suggests we can start acting like a big club. Plus, let's also not forget, there was money to spend in these windows, it was Poch, not Levy, who chose to not spend it.

I don't think that we know what's been going on with the transfers, to be honest.
Lots of mixed messages from Pochettino about the right players and not signing the wrong ones for the sake of it.
I'm not sure we'll ever know the truth.

It's been a frustrating couple of windows. Hopefully the next few will be more fruitful.

    Lol. You motherfu....

I never said Tripper will be better <laugh>. I've just always maintained he was a good RB in his own way... He's just been utter gash this season and now too many other RBs in the league are better, meaning we have to keep up in order to not be left behind in that area.

I know you think it's far fetched but I do think an owner can and should pump his own money into a Football club...I can give plenty examples

If you are a billionaire and you own a football club which I'm afraid is not like buying Harrods then you better be prepared to put your own money into the football club. If you can hang a painting in your bathroom costing 90 million yet miss out on a player who's asking price was only 25 mill...then you're not the right man to own a football club which is at the crossroads we are at.

Uncle Joe needs to **** off sooner rather than later...I'm not bothered that hes a Spurs fan...I want a chairman obsessed with football...I'm over Irving Scholar so I dare to dream.

For those of us who may still be alive then ;) ...

It will be in a Pochettino biography. After his time at Spurs.
When knowing the truth is of no material consequence to THFC.

All I know is they are still Chairmen and their clubs are still prospering.

Everything is legal enough if it's still happening.

Ive embraced the dark arts on and off the pitch.

Lewis isn't a Spurs fan. Levy is and he's clearly obsessed with football.
His methods are open for criticism, but I don't think that anyone can doubt that he's trying to make us a bigger, better club.
He's not willing to risk doing a Leeds or a Coventry in order to do it, so it's more gradual.

Look at our training facilities. Look at our stadium. Look at our league position. Look at the Champions League draw.
    Now look at Alan Sugar.

I don't expect everyone to be jumping for joy when we're not winning anything and our form is awful.
We're hardly **** though, are we? We're not being run by some of the ****ing lunatics out there, either.
Bolton can't pay their players. Sunderland got relegated twice. Villa lost their ever-present status.
Everton have chucked money around like confetti and gone nowhere.

Even though I’m not completely up to date with FFP rulings, I’m pretty sure Lewis can’t just chuck £90m into the playing personnel. But I’m pretty sure he can chuck £90m into the infrastructure (stadium/ training ground etc). That’s why as I said, now that we’ve got the infrastructure in place, going forward we can start acting like a “big club” and start bringing in multiple £40m-£50m players and offering them £150k a week contracts.

More worryingly, we were competing with Villa and Bolton for European Football back in 2006, 07, 08, 09 and 2010!!!

    I’m leaving now.

It’s so nice knowing I have just a 15 minute walk again instead of an hour and a half train journey.

On the flip side and more closer to home...look at the club's around us who don't live with that fear but embrace our logo 'To Dare is to Do'. Liverpool were in dire straits financially alot recently than us...do you think they are still quaking in their boots or are they embracing a new era with added zest?

A club owned by an individual who sticks £90 million paintings above the ****ter isn't going to let his business fold anytime soon.
