You paid £27m (rising?) for a player who'd had a decent WC, ok it may not be the most ever paid. But it is a fair old whack of money, especially since he's still Everton 3rd or 4th most expensive buy. For that you'd expect him to be playing week in week out. But that wasn't really the point I was hinting at, not every player hits the ground running and price isn't always an indicator to where the player is currently at. Sometimes you're paying for the future. I'd judge Keita next season with more time to have settled.
